Thank You And Goodbye

This is a tough post to write, but I think the time has come for me to move on. After seven and a half years it is time to say goodbye to Readers Live A Thousand Lives. Which is truly a crazy thought, because it has been such a big part of my life for a very long time now. It has been a constant in my life for so long, but I am ready to move on to new things. Keeping up with the blog has simply become too time consuming and I no longer have the love for it I once had. I will forever be thankful though for the years I spent with Readers Live A Thousand Lives and for all of the good it brought me. I got to experience so many wonderful bookish things. I discovered books I never would have heard of if not for blogging and some of my favorite authors were discovered through this wonderful world. Not to mention the many bookish events I have attended over the years. Most importantly I have made so many friendships because of this wonderful community and those friendships will carry on long after this blog is gone and that is something I am truly truly thankful for.

My sincere thanks to anyone who has ever visited my little blog here or commented and shared in my love of books with me, it has truly been a wonderful experience.

While the blog is going away, I will not be gone completely. I’ll still be over on Goodreads yelling about the books I love and of course on Twitter also yelling about the books I love among other random things. So please go find me over there. In the next few weeks I’ll be archiving this blog but I hope to still see everyone around on other platforms and I look forward to diving into books I haven’t been able to get around to in years and to any other adventures this new decade brings.

  1. <3 I completely understand, I look forward to seeing you on the internet!

  2. I completely understand and I know how hard it is moving on from something that is so precious to you, means so much to you. After I closed down my blog, it was hard moving on at first, but it was probably the most freeing thing as well. It was nice getting back to just reading books and not always worrying about reviewing! *hugs*

  3. Thanks for letting us know. Good luck with whatever it is you decide to do with your time in the future. :)

  4. You'll be missed! But you know when blogging and reading becomes like a chore that it's time to step away. I'm already following you on Goodreads and Twitter, so I know this isn't a total goodbye. :)

  5. ♥️ You & I totally understand! Thank you for loving books & spreading the book love all these years!

I love getting comments and appreciate every single one of them! It always brightens my day =]

This is an award free blog. I truly appreciate the thought but I simply do not have the time. Comments are an award all on their own =]
