On My Shelf is a feature I started here on the blog and I'm sure there are a ton of similar ones out there, but basically I just wanted to start spotlighting some of the MANY backlist titles I have accumulated on my shelf and kindle. The idea is to spotlight an older book I have on my massive TBR. I also thought it would be a fun way to discuss these books with my fellow bloggers, get some of your thoughts and figure out which ones I need to read ASAP and which ones can wait a bit more. And if you want to join in too, I would love to see what is on your shelf! Just leave me a link in the comments.
I bought this one after I saw the movie, because I really liked the movie. But then of course I just had so many other books I wanted to read and this one just got pushed to the side. I am not as obsessed with zombies as I once was, but I am still intrigued by this one.
I've read this book! It was a great story, but I should warn you that the film has almost nothing to do with it other than the fact that they're both about zombies. (Not sure why they did that?)
ReplyDeleteThe book is a collection of various "eyewitness" testimonies of people who survived the zombiepocalypse. They ranged from people who were soldiers to children. It was a really nice cross-section of folks from every walk of life, and it gave a well-rounded description of how the world was affected by this outbreak.
I definitely recommend you read this.
Thats good to know! It still sounds really good and thats probably an interesting take on the zombie apocalypse.
DeleteI heard this one is really good from two people who enjoyed this one. My husband said he wanted to pick it up after he heard about it. Said it's a bit different from the movie though, but both are good.
