"Mercedes Thompson, aka Mercy, is a talented Volkswagen mechanic living in the Tri-Cities area of Washington. She also happens to be a walker, a magical being with the power to shift into a coyote at will. Mercy's next-door neighbor is a werewolf. Her former boss is a gremlin. And she's fixing a bus for a vampire. This is the world of Mercy Thompson, one that looks a lot like ours but is populated by those things that go bump in the night. And Mercy's connection to those things is about to get her into some serious hot water..."

My Thoughts:

My Wifey has been recommending these books to me for years and since we wanted to read some books together, it was finally time for me to dive in and read while she did a re-read and man did I sleep on these books. I loved Mercy and this world is so much fun.

Mercy is such a great character and I adore her. She is so strong and feisty and she will not be told what to do. I absolutely loved her. And Adam. Oh my heart, how I loved Adam. But then there is Sam and I love Sam too and I feel as if I’m being torn. I mean, I’ve decided I ship Mercy and Adam HARD, but I want Sam to come home and live with me as a puppy wolf. And the secondary cast is amazing too. Warren and Kyle and Zee and Stefan. Love them all.

This book is action packed and keeps you on the edge of your seat. It has an addictive quality and it's just everything I love about paranormal reads. And the romance is such a slow burn and I’m here for it. It’s just overall such a good book and a great start to the series.

All in all, Moon Called was a ton of fun with amazing characters and a cool world. I can’t wait to dive into the next book.

  1. Mercy Thompson sounds like such an awesome kick-a** character! I know I would love her based on your description! Adam, Sam, and all of the other secondary characters sound like they make this story/series even more addictive! I love when a book is so full of action that it keeps you on the edge of your seat! I'm so glad that I have this book on my kindle. I can't wait to read it! Great Review Teresa!

    1. I hope you end up loving it as much as I did if you get to it! Mercy is so great.

  2. So glad you loved this one. I have to say I have a lady crush on Patricia Briggs books a whole lot. I grabbed this book a while ago and just haven't picked it up yet. My hope is before the end fo the year, but I need to finish more series before I pick up a series with so many books. Thank you for the amazing review as always!
