The de Vincent brothers are back—and so is the intrigue that surrounds them—in New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout’s sizzling new novel . . .
Nicolette Bresson never thought she’d return to the de Vincents’ bayou compound. It’s where her parents work, where Nikki grew up . . . and where she got her heart broken by Gabriel de Vincent himself. Yet here she is, filling in for her sick mother. Avoiding Gabe should be easy, especially when so much of Nikki’s time is spent trying not to be stabbed in the back by the malicious hangers-on who frequent the mansion. But escaping memories of Gabe, much less his smoking-hot presence, is harder than expected—especially since he seems determined to be in Nikki’s space as much as possible.
Gabriel spent years beating himself up over his last encounter with Nikki. He’d wanted her then, but for reasons that were bad for both of them. Things have now changed. Gabe sees more than a girl he’s known forever; he sees a smart, talented, and heartbreakingly beautiful woman . . . one who’s being stalked from the shadows.
Now, Gabe will do anything to keep Nikki safe—and to stop the de Vincent curse from striking again.

My Thoughts:

I am seriously loving the tone of this series! It has such a creepy and gothic vibe, but it also delivers the romance and the swoon. The de Vincents are not your normal family and that makes for some seriously complicated relationships and situations, which in turn makes for an addictive read.

I adored Nikki. She was tough and strong and would not take crap from anyone. I just really liked her a lot and I felt like we would have been good friends. And of course I loved Gabe. That man could be super charming when he wanted to be. But he also had his moments and I think I would have had to smack him 22.5 times throughout all of this. He is lucky Nikki is who she is and loved him so much because he could have really messed it up. But he owns up to his mistakes and makes up for them in the end.

I also loved checking in with Julia and Lucian again. I adore those two and it is so sweet seeing them so happy together. And I have to talk about Dev… because he is an incredibly intriguing character. He is such a jerk and I’m not sure I actually like him at all but it’s also clear there is a lot more going on that we as readers do not have all the facts to and I really cannot wait to find out what is going on. But he has a lot of work to do to win me over, so his book is sure to be super interesting.

As I said I loved the tone of this book and I loved the suspense woven throughout. I enjoy all the moving pieces and I love the little storylines that are carrying on throughout the series and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book. All in all, JLA delivered yet again with Moonlight Seduction
