32 Thoughts I Had While Re-Reading Finale (Hush Hush #4) by Becca Fitzpatrick

Release Date: October 23, 2012
from Simon & Schuster Books For Young Readers
Goodreads | Amazon

"Will love conquer all?

Nora and Patch thought their troubles were behind them. Hank is gone and they should be able to put his ugly vendetta to rest. But in Hank's absence, Nora has become the unwitting head of the Nephilim and must finish what Hank began. Which ultimately means destroying the fallen angels - destroying Patch.

Nora will never let that happen, so she and Patch make a plan: lead everyone to believe they have broken up, and work the system from the inside. Nora will convince the Nephilim that they are making a mistake in fighting the fallen angels, and Patch will find out everything he can from the opposing side. They will end this war before it can even begin.

But the best-laid plans often go awry. Nora is put through the paces in her new role and finds herself drawn to an addictive power she never anticipated.

As the battle lines are drawn, Nora and Patch must confront the differences that have always been between them and either choose to ignore them or let them destroy the love they have always fought for."

My Thoughts:

1. Its been a few years since I’ve read any of this series and I am SO excited to be going back. I miss Patch.
2. Blah I dislike Vee. Idk why Nora put up with her shit.
3. *sigh* Patch. Nobody does swoon quite like him.
4. But like WHY is Vee the worst friend to ever be a friend. She aggravates me every single time and I'm pretty sure my hatred of her is what made me truly appreciate great female friendships in the books I read.
5. Patch is the swooniest. The end.
6. Poor Nora. Girl cannot catch a break.
7. Ugh Dante. Go away.
8. I don’t love this narrator. It's good I already love this book, otherwise I think it may have impacted my enjoyment of the book overall.
9. Nora’s mother must have lost her damn mind letting Marcie move in.
10. God he played this game so well.
11. People are so stupid… lets have a party in the middle of a war. Nora is the only one with sense.
12. See this is what happens when you don’t listen.
13. Stop being impulsive!
14. Scott… asking the important questions.
15. I love Nora… but she makes some seriously questionable decisions right here.
16. Really not a fan of this narrator. She makes everyone sound so whiny and her Patch voice is seriously lacking. This narrator would have definitely impacted my enjoyment of the book had I not already read it.
17. Oh look. See that party turned out to be a bad idea. I mean, who could have forseen that? Oh right… me… and Nora… and anyone with a brain.
18. God he played on her insecurities so well.
19. GAHHH its agony waiting for Nora to fess up! Mostly because that’s one of my favorite scenes in the entire series.
21. Oh I forgot about that.
22. Yeah completely forgot about that.
23. Love this scene soooooooo much!
24. *sings* it’s the ten duel commandments
25. Scott really had some great character growth.
26. About time you used your brain Blakely.
27. Marcie is the actual stupidest.
28. Damn… I forgot how we get out of this problem.
29. I will never understand what Hank was even thinking putting Nora in power… like what a dumbass.
30. *sobs*
31. Oh I loved this twist. So so good.
32. That last line is THE BEST.

Wrap Up
This re-read was an excellent idea. Its been a few years since I’ve read anything from this series and it was so great going back. Even though I didn’t love the narrator (seriously so whiny) it was still a great way to make time to visit Patch and Nora again. Patch is forever one of my all time favorite book boyfriends and he stands the test of time. This is one of those series that will forever hold a special place in my heart.

  1. Omg a reread! I remember I looooved the first book in this series, didn't love the second one, can't remember how I felt about the third one, but ultimately didn't like the fourth one at all... But I always remembered how swoony Patch was. 😍😍 Maybe I'll reread book one. Wonderful post/review, Teresa!

    Have a fantastic week. =)

  2. What a great idea! I read this series so long ago, I'd love to read it again. A shame that the narrator wasn't as good as you hoped... Lucky you knew that this was a good read!

I love getting comments and appreciate every single one of them! It always brightens my day =]

This is an award free blog. I truly appreciate the thought but I simply do not have the time. Comments are an award all on their own =]
