Mini Reviews: Pottermore Presents by: J.K. Rowling

Short Stories from Hogwarts of Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies

This was a fun little collection of stories that gave me a bit more background on characters I love. I particularly loved getting some more information on Minerva McGonagall and Remus Lupin. I love both of those characters so much and it was nice to learn a bit more about them. I also really enjoyed Silvaneus Ketylburns story. This is a character we never really meet, but I feel like I would have liked him. I particularly enjoyed the bit about him throwing flobberworms at Death Eaters.

Short Stories from Hogwarts of Power, Politics and Pesky Poltergeists

This was a fun look at some of the books more notorious or morally ambiguous characters. It was definitely interesting learning the truth about Dolores Umbridge. That woman is evil. And it was also interesting to get a full background on Slughorn. He was always one of those characters I was never quite sure of. But most of all I loved the little bit on Peeves. I adored what he brought to the books and I was forever sad he didn’t make it into the movies.

Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide

This was a real treat because I love learning more about Hogwarts. Going back to Hogwarts is like going home, so I will always want to know every little thing I can when it comes to that wonderful castle. I particularly liked the piece on the Chamber of Secrets. That has always been something I’ve wondered about and this just answered some of those weird questions I’ve had. I also liked learning more about Nearly Headless Nick because I love the ghosts and everything they add to the story. Oh and of course the Marauders Map! That is one of my favorite aspects of the Wizarding World, so I loved learning more about it.

  2. Can you believe I still haven't read these?! *hangs head in shame* Granted my reading/blogging slump is partially responsible but seeing how much you enjoyed these makes me want to sit down with them all right now :D

I love getting comments and appreciate every single one of them! It always brightens my day =]

This is an award free blog. I truly appreciate the thought but I simply do not have the time. Comments are an award all on their own =]
