"USA Today and New York Times bestselling author Nicole Williams delivers a seductive summer
romance worth swooning over. Perfect for fans of Sarah Dessen and Stephanie Perkins.

Phoenix can’t imagine anything worse than being shipped off to family summer camp. Her parents have been fighting for the past two years—do they seriously think being crammed in a cabin with Phoenix and her little brother, Harry, will make things better?

On top of that, Phoenix is stuck training with Callum—the head counselor who is seriously cute but a complete know-it-all. His hot-cold attitude means he’s impossible to figure out—and even harder to rely on. But despite her better judgment, Phoenix is attracted to Callum. And he’s promising Phoenix a summer she’ll never forget. Can she trust him? Or is this just another lie?"

My Thoughts:

I’ve said it before, but I’m saying it again, Nicole Williams never disappoints. Trusting You & Other Lies was an addictive read and one I easily finished in one sitting. This is a perfect summer read. It has great characters and such a sweet summer romance.

Phoenix is a wonderful heroine. She has been dealing with so much between school and her family and it’s given her some serious trust issues. I loved Phoenix because she was real and flawed. She is a great person and her drive is something to be admired. I also loved how she was with her younger brother. She cared so much for him and in those moments you saw who Phoenix really was.

Of course I also loved Callum. Callum has his own set of issues, but he too is a great guy. He works so hard and cares so much about his job and wants to do well. This camp is the one place where he is really good at something and my heart hurt for him. I loved him and like with Phoenix I loved how real he was and I felt for everything he had to endure.

Callum and Phoenix together were great. Neither of them were looking for anything over this summer but they still found it. They both gravitated to one another because they both needed someone who got it. I loved that they weren’t afraid to call one another out and they had a great push and pull. Also they were simply adorable together and their romance was just so so so sweet.

Trusting You & Other Lies is a fantastic read and Nicole Williams dip into YA contemporary was a success. YA contemporaries and I don’t always get along, but I so loved this book. This is one I highly recommend and its perfect to bring on a summer beach trip.

  1. I'm glad you enjoyed this one, Teresa. I have more Nicole Williams to read thanks to you. ;) I look forward to meeting Callum (LOVE that name!) and Phoenix.

  2. This sounds wonderful! I love the dip into YA; though like you, I struggle with that genre -- but your love of this book convinces me to add this to my list. Fantastic review, Wifey!

  3. When I think of Nicole Williams, I think of you, lol.

I love getting comments and appreciate every single one of them! It always brightens my day =]

This is an award free blog. I truly appreciate the thought but I simply do not have the time. Comments are an award all on their own =]
