"In the explosive finale to New York Times bestselling author Jeaniene Frost’s Night Prince series, Vlad is in danger of losing his bride to an enemy whose powers might prove greater than the Prince of Vampire’s….

In the wrong hands, love can be a deadly weapon.

For nearly six hundred years, Vlad Tepesh cared for nothing, so he had nothing to lose. His brutal reputation ensured that all but the most foolhardy stayed away. Now falling in love with Leila has put him at the mercy of his passions. And one adversary has found a devastating way to use Vlad’s new bride against him.

A powerful spell links Leila to the necromancer Mircea. If he suffers or dies, so does she. Magic is forbidden to vampires, so Vlad and Leila enlist an unlikely guide as they search for a way to break the spell. But an ancient enemy lies in wait, capable of turning Vlad and Leila’s closest friends against them…and finally tearing the lovers apart forever."

My Thoughts:

The Night Huntress world is one of my all-time favorites. Whenever I dive into one of these books, I know I’m in for a great ride. I love this world and these characters and each and every story is addictive. This was a great way to wrap up Vlad and Leila’s story.

Vlad and Leila are so great together and their chemistry is insane. I love how much they have grown over the course of the series and how strong they’ve gotten as a couple. Even when they fight, there is never any doubt that they love one another and will fight to make it work and I loved that. I love when the couple works together. Well for the most part. Vlad still has a tendency to keep secrets and not gonna lie, he pushed the limits of my patience, but I still love them together. Vlad will never be my favorite hero, but I love these two together and I have loved their story.

What I always love about these books is that the world and secondary characters are also amazing. I really loved seeing Mencheres again and I love the quiet humor he brings to the story. But the one who absolutely stole the show this time around was Ian. Ian took me by surprise with how much I absolutely loved him. If you had told me as I was reading One Foot In The Grave that Ian would become one of my favorite characters I would have laughed, because let’s be honest, Ian does not start out all the wonderful, but damn I love him. He is still Ian and still a royal pain in the ass with no filter or moral compass, but he just cracks me up. He also comes through when it matters most and this book showed once and for all that there is much more to Ian than meets the eye. I cannot wait for his book and if the heroine is who I think it is… well it’s going to be awesome because those two could not be any more opposite. (I wrote this a while ago and it has been confirmed the heroine is who I thought it was- Veritas!!!)

Into The Fire was a great way to wrap up Vlad and Leila’s story and it also has me ready for more from this world. This is the series that I will never get enough of and Into The Fire was worth the wait.

  1. I love the sound of Ian; I look forward to meeting him and all the characters in this series. I'm so happy you love this author so much -- even if Vlad tested your patience in this particular book, lol! I cannot wait to meet this author this summer. Eeep! Awesome review, wifey pants <3

This is an award free blog. I truly appreciate the thought but I simply do not have the time. Comments are an award all on their own =]
