Book Review: The Struggle (Titan #3) by: Jennifer L. Armentrout

Release Date: March 20, 2017
Goodreads | Amazon
Source: I received a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
"A bloody path has been chosen…

The war against the Titans continues, and they remain determined to wreak havoc on the world, but Seth has become something all gods fear. Now the most dangerous, most absolute power no longer resides in those who have been freed from their tombs.

The Great War fought by the few is coming…

All may doubt and fear what Seth has become. All except the one woman who might be his final chance at redemption. Josie will do anything to prove that Seth is on their side, but fate has a nasty way of changing lives, of changing people.

In the end, the sun will fall…

The only way they can save the future and save themselves is by facing the unknown together. It will take more than trust and faith. It will take love and the kind of strength not easily broken. No matter what, their lives will never be the same.

For what the gods have feared has come to pass. The end of the old is here and the beginning of the new has been ushered in…"

My Thoughts:

This world always sucks me right in. I love Greek Mythology to begin with so mix in my favorite author and this series just works so well for me. The Covenant series is forever one of my favorite JLA series and the Titan spin off lived up to my love for that series.

Honestly, I never thought I would love Seth as much as I do. He was never my favorite in the Covenant series (look I was really devoted to Aiden okay) but he has grown so much. Seth basically defines character growth. He has become such a great character and he has really atoned for his mistakes. I simply adore him and I adore how much he cares for Josie. But I also love that he is still the same Seth. He is still his sarcastic self who never wears a shirt (thankfully) and who has no problem crossing certain boundaries to do what he thinks he has to do.

I also adore Josie. That girl is made of steel. She has adjusted to the crazy so well and really come into her own. She is a fighter who does not give up. What she goes through is horrible and I love how she kept fighting. I also love that she doesn’t let Seth get away with nonsense. He is an idiot at the end of The Power and she doesn’t just let him get away with it. I love the dynamic between these two and the way they have evolved as a couple over the three books. Plus the chemistry and swoons are so lovely.

I also love getting to see my favorite characters again. I absolutely adore Deacon and I just eat up every single scene he is in. He is hysterical and I just love his whole personality. I also love him and Luke together. Of course I also love catching up with Alex and Aiden. Those two hold a very special place in my heart and I love seeing them basically live out their HEA (even with all the crazy around them).

The Struggle was easy to devour and I loved the pace of the book. Things have gotten so crazy and so much took me by surprise. I honestly never saw this series going the way it has but I love the direction it is taking. I cannot wait to see how everything wraps up in the next book.

This was a great read and once again JLA did not disappoint. This world of hers is one of my favorites and each book continues to deliver. I love Seth and Josie and I know I’ll revisit this series again and again.

  1. I'm so glad you continue to love this series. I'll definitely have to read these one day! I love how much you've grown to love Seth. I had a bit of a crush on him in the Covenant series, so I know I'm going to adore him in his series! Awesome review, lobster <3

  2. I totally agree with you about Deacon, I love him so much and loved the humor he brought to the story.

I love getting comments and appreciate every single one of them! It always brightens my day =]

This is an award free blog. I truly appreciate the thought but I simply do not have the time. Comments are an award all on their own =]
