"Sometimes when perfect falls apart, a little trouble fixes everything . . .

Twenty-one-year-old Kayla Turner has lost everything. After spending most of her life taking care of her ailing mother, she just wants to spot a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. So when her late father-a man she barely knew-leaves her an inheritance, she finally breathes a sigh of relief . . . until she learns the inheritance comes with strings. Strings in the form of handsome playboy Daren Ackwood, her father's protégé. To see any of her inheritance, she's forced to team up with him. From his expensive car to those sexy dimples, Kayla's seen his type before. But Daren isn't who he seems to be . . .

Struggling to make amends for his family's mistakes, Daren has a life more Oliver Twist than Richie Rich these days. He's beyond grateful that James Turner included him in his will, but working with Turner's princess of a daughter to fulfill his cryptic last wish is making Daren wonder if being broke is really so bad. Still, she's just as beautiful as she is stubborn, and the more time he spends with Kayla, the less it feels right being without her. Soon Daren and Kayla begin to wonder if maybe the best gift Kayla's dad could have left them . . . was each other."

My Thoughts:

This series is so addictive and fun and I’m really an idiot for putting it off for so long. They are just good new adult reads. They are light and fun, but still have that emotional impact. I adored Daren and Kayla.

I went into this book not overly in love with Daren, but he changed my mind quick. I absolutely adored Daren and my heart broke for him over and over. My heart broke for both of them. Nobody should have to go through what both of them went through. Kayla is awesome too, even with her tough exterior. And of course I loved them together. They were exactly what one another needed and I loved their banter too. I am a sucker for good banter. It was fun watching them have to work together and go from hating one another to falling for one another. Oh and Ellen pops in again and I just love her. Love love love her.

Perfect Kind Of Trouble is simply a good read. It has a sweet romance that is balanced with some truly heartbreaking circumstances. It was a good new adult read and was exactly what I needed at the time.

  1. Isn't it great when an author can sell you on a protagonist that you weren't really feeling, initially? I love it when authors redeem them, and they do it well. It sounds like this story has a great romance and just enough tough issues and emotional impact. I'm glad you enjoyed the book, Teresa! =)

  2. It's great when a character can change your mind! So happy you enjoyed this book and that it was just what you needed. :)

  3. Ohh, I love me some good banter. I'll have to check this one out.

I love getting comments and appreciate every single one of them! It always brightens my day =]

This is an award free blog. I truly appreciate the thought but I simply do not have the time. Comments are an award all on their own =]
