"In this breathless third installment to Victoria Aveyard’s bestselling Red Queen series, allegiances are tested on every side. And when the Lightning Girl's spark is gone, who will light the way for the rebellion?

Mare Barrow is a prisoner, powerless without her lightning, tormented by her lethal mistakes. She lives at the mercy of a boy she once loved, a boy made of lies and betrayal. Now a king, Maven Calore continues weaving his dead mother's web in an attempt to maintain control over his country—and his prisoner.
As Mare bears the weight of Silent Stone in the palace, her once-ragtag band of newbloods and Reds continue organizing, training, and expanding. They prepare for war, no longer able to linger in the shadows. And Cal, the exiled prince with his own claim on Mare's heart, will stop at nothing to bring her back.
When blood turns on blood, and ability on ability, there may be no one left to put out the fire—leaving Norta as Mare knows it to burn all the way down."
So I didn't love Glass Sword, but the ending was insane so I am very interested to see where this series goes. I'm hoping King's Cage turns the series around.
King's Cage will be released on February 7, 2017.
I'm hoping it turns around for you! I'm excited to start this series, but I need your thoughts on this one first ;)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for this one! Though I still need to read Glass Sword! Whelp!

I want to read this book too! Given that Glass Sword wasn't on Edelweiss, this one probably won't be either... *sad face* But I can't wait to read it. :D Hopefully this one is awesome!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week, Teresa. =)

I NEED to get into this series! I have a feeling I'll enjoy it even though you didn't LOVE the sequel as much as the first book. Here's hoping this instalment makes up for the second book for you :D
ReplyDeleteGreat pick! I haven't read Glass Sword yet so I'll probably read it and King's Cage together.
