"Magic can save you.
Magic can kill you.
Students at the Magisterium are supposed to be safe. Under the watchful eyes of the mages, they are taught to use magic to bring order to a chaotic world.
But now the chaos is fighting back. Call, Tamara, and Aaron should be worrying about things like pop quizzes and magic contests. Instead, after the shocking death of one of their classmates, they must track down a sinister killer… and risk their own lives in the process.
As Call, Tamara, and Aaron disocver, magic can only be as good as the person who wields it. In evil hands, it has the capacity to do immesasurable harm, unless it is stopped in time.
In this striking third book of Magisterium, bestelling authors Holly Black and Cassandra Clare present us with a school where anythin, good or evil, can happen, and the only way to unlock the truth is to risk everything to find it."
My Thoughts:This is one of those series that keeps improving with each book. The Bronze Key is definitely the game changer of the series and I’m dying to see where this series is going to go. I really love the world Holly and Cassie have created here and the elemental based magic is pretty cool.
One of the best things about this series is the characters. Our three main characters are all so likable and fun and I ADORE their strong friendship. Aaron, Call, and Tamara are all so unique yet mesh so well. I really love all three of them. Call especially cracks me up with his remarks and his thought process. I alo love that the voice of this book is Call, who is a bit of a misfit and not the hero or chosen one we would normally have.
I also cannot get over the twists and turns throughout this book. The story really kept me guessing and I never saw the twists coming. Especially the way it ended. You really cannot trust anyone and you cant take anything at face value. I had my suspicions throughout but I was always wrong. Holly and Cassie know how to keep the reader on their toes.
The Bronze Key was a really enjoyable read and I love how this series has progressed. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book.
