"From the New York Times bestselling author of Claimed comes the second enticingly erotic novel set in a world on the brink of chaos.
Lennox used to live in a paradise on earth with his best friend Jamie, in a place where visitors came and went, allowing their desires to run free. But everything changes when a deadly attack forces them to take up with Connor Mackenzie’s band of Outlaws. Lennox knows Jamie is hung up on someone else, but he’s always believed he’s the man for her—and won’t let her go without a fight.
Even though Jamie is well aware that Lennox is one hot specimen of a man, she refuses to let sex ruin the most important relationship in her life. But when the object of her interest spurns her, she indulges in a little pleasure-filled revenge with her very magnetic, very willing best friend. One thrilling night with Lennox is enough to awaken Jamie’s unexpected desires for him. And now that she’s had a taste, she’s not sure she can ever give him up..."
My Thoughts:Nobody mixes action and steam the way Elle Kennedy does. Addicted was a great book. It was such a great blend of good plot, sexy times, and a cool dystopian world. Elle Kennedy is quickly becoming one of those authors I know will never disappoint and I have a lot of books to catch up on.
Jamie and Lennox were great characters. I’ve always been a huge fan of the friends to lovers trope, but throw that trope into a dystopian world with some of the HOTTEST scenes I’ve ever read and I am a happy gal. I adored how strong Jamie was and that she always stood her ground. And I loved how tough Lennox was but also how sweet he could be. I also loved how close they were and that they always put one another first. Their relationship was a long time coming and when it finally happened it was explosive.
I also loved so many of the side characters. Rylan is probably my favorite. I absolutely adore him! I really love Connor’s whole group and that little community they have formed. And I love our newer characters. I’m most intrigued by Sloan. Reese though…. I haven’t decided how I feel about her. Sometimes I’m a fan and sometimes not so much. So it’ll be interesting with her book being next.
Addicted was a great read that…well… kept me addicted (I’m sorry I couldn’t help myself). It was one of the hottest books I’ve ever read BUT it still delivered a plot and I really liked that balance. I can’t wait to see where this series goes.
