Top Ten 2015: Books I'm Looking Forward To In 2016

Welcome to day five of the Top Ten of 2015 hosted by Two Chicks on BooksFiktshunMagical Urban Fantasy Reads, and Tales of the Ravenous Reader. Today we are sharing the books we are most looking forward to in 2016. Like I have done the past few years, I have decided not to feature an author more than once. Also, there is no particular order to the list.

A Court of Mist and Fury by: Sarah J. Maas- If you have been following these posts all week, I'm sure this book isn't a surprise. I decided to feature ACOMAF over the next Throne of Glass book since this one has a title. I am so anxious yet excited for this one and I am sure SJM will blow me away again.

Lady Midnight by: Cassandra Clare- I love the Shadowhunter world and I am really excited for this new series. Emma seems like she will be a great character and I am looking forward to seeing some old friends again.

Truthwitch by: Susan Dennard- I really enjoyed Susan Dennard's Something Strange and Deadly series, so I am excited for this new series from her. The cover is badass and it sounds amazing.

Glass Sword by: Victoria Aveyard- After the ending to Red Queen, I need this one! I have so many questions and I cannot wait to see where the story goes.

The Power: Jennifer L. Armentrout- It's JLA! She is my favorite author so of course I am excited for this one. I really came to love Seth and Josie and I need to know what happens next.

Brave Enough by: M. Leighton- It is Michelle and I love her, so of course I cannot wait for this one!

The Fallen Prince by: Amalie Howard- Amalie is a wonderful author and one of my favorite reads from her is The Almost Girl. I was so worried we were not going to get the sequel BUT we are getting it and I am so so so excited.

Walk The Edge by: Katie McGarry- Katie is a fantastic author and her books always deliver. I am loving this new series from her and cannot wait for Walk The Edge.

Kingdom of Ashes by: Rhiannon Thomas- I am really liking this twist on Sleeping Beauty! The ending to A Wicked Thing has me crazy excited for this one.

The Great Hunt by: Wendy Higgins- I actually have an ARC of this one, but haven't gotten to it yet, so since I am really excited to read it I figured I should feature it. I cannot wait to see how Higgins does with high fantasy!

What books are you looking forward to?

Top Ten 2015: Best Book Boyfriends

Welcome to day four of the Top Ten of 2015 hosted by Two Chicks on BooksFiktshunMagical Urban Fantasy Reads, and Tales of the Ravenous Reader. Today we are sharing our favorite book boyfriends of 2015. Like I have done the past few years, I have decided not to feature an author more than once. Also, there is no particular order to the list.

Rowan (Queen of Shadows by: Sarah J. Maas)- I am ridiculously obsessed with Rowan, more than is probably healthy, but whatever. He has become one of the boyfriends I compare all other guys to. He is strong, protective, fierce, a great friend, and a great leader. Seriously, one of my all time favorite characters ever. (*pssst* I made a Rowan pinterest board)

Roth (Every Last Breath by: Jennifer L. Armentrout)- JLA is the Queen of writing swoony guys, but Roth is one of my very favorites from her. I just fell hard for his wit and humor and he never fails to make me swoon.

Rogan (Tough Enough by: M. Leighton)- Michelle is another one who always writes guys I fall hard for, but Rogan is easily one of her best. He is an actor, soldier, MMA fighter all rolled into one. He is also charming and sweet and a great guy.

River (Chasing River by: K.A. Tucker)- Clearly this was the year of the letter R for me. River is ridiculously swoony and I have trouble finding the words to express how much I love him.

Morpheus (Ensnared by: A.G. Howard)- I adore Morpheus! His blue hair, top hats, and charm just do me in. (Also, it hurts me to use the Ensnared cover for Morpheus cause Jeb... but Ensnared was the 2015 release so...)

Cole (Loyalty by: Carrie Butler)- I am Cole's #1 Fangirl and I dare someone to say otherwise. I am going to miss him so much now that this series is complete. He is so freakin funny and he steals every scene he is in. Cole isn't even the main character of the series (don't tell him that, he won't believe you) but he still became my favorite, which really just says everything you need to know about Cole.

Sean (Midnight Captive by: Elle Kennedy)- UGH SEAN IS THE BEST! I just love him and all of his crankiness. He is also ridiculously hot and I just could not get enough of him.

Jason (Tessa Ever After by: Brighton Walsh)- Guys... Jason is funny and swoony and he plays dress up with a little girl... full on with hats and feather boas.. I dare you not to fall in love with Jason.

Isaac (Greta and the Glass Kingdom by: Chloe Jacobs)- Isaac owns my heart. I love him and I love him with Greta. Those two are such a force to be reckoned with.

Christian (Bloodcraft by: Amalie Howard)- Christian is so swoony and I fell hard for him when I read Bloodspell years ago and I fell all over again with this sequel.

Top Ten 2015: Best New Adult Titles

Welcome to day three of the Top Ten of 2015 hosted by Two Chicks on BooksFiktshunMagical Urban Fantasy Reads, and Tales of the Ravenous Reader. Today the topic is bloggers choice and I have decided to feature my favorite New Adult reads of the year. Like I have done the past few years, I have decided not to feature an author more than once. Also, there is no particular order to the list.

Wicked by: Jennifer L. Armentrout- So I bounced around with a few JLA books. I was kinda torn between Wicked, Fall With Me, and Forever With You. I decided on Wicked because it is New Adult paranormal and I really think that makes it stand out and I think we need more of this. Also, I absolutely adored Tink so that is really what pushed this one ahead of the other two.

Chasing River by: K.A. Tucker- I adore this book so damn much. Definitely my favorite book from Tucker to date and really just one of my favorites in general. I loved Amber and I fell hard for River.

Losers Weepers by: Nicole Williams- This is one of my favorite series ever and this book hit me right in the feels. I adore Josie and Garth!

Tessa Ever After by: Brighton Walsh- Brighton is a favorite of mine, but Tessa Ever After is by far my favorite of hers. This one just really stands out in the genre. Tessa is a character to admire, Haley steals your heart, and Jason is just made of swoon.

Sweet by: Tammara Webber- When I think of New Adult, Tammara Webber is always one of the first authors that comes to mind and it is because she writes damn good books. Sweet was a fantastic read and months later I am still in love with it and the characters.

Loyalty by: Carrier Butler- This series deserves all  the love. It is so different from other New Adult books out there and these characters are some of my favorites! Especially Cole!

No Kissing Allowed by: Melissa West- This book made my heart melt and I loved the romance. Melissa West writes wonderful New Adult!

Slumber by: Samantha Young- Okay first NEW ADULT FANTASY FOR THE WIN! Second, Wolfe is just OMG amazing. Rogan is fierce! I JUST LOVE THIS BOOK OKAY!

There You Stand by: Christina Lee- Love Cory and Jude so much! This has always been a favorite New Adult series of mine and this addition was no exception.

Now Leaving Sugartown by: Carmen Jenner- This one was definitely my favorite of the Sugartown series and I loved Sammy and Pepper. This book hurt my heart but it was great.

What were some of your favorite New Adult reads?

Top Ten 2015: Best Book Covers

Welcome to day two of the Top Ten of 2015 hosted by Two Chicks on BooksFiktshunMagical Urban Fantasy Reads, and Tales of the Ravenous Reader. Today we are sharing our favorite covers of 2015. Like I have done the past few years, I have decided not to feature an author more than once. Also, there is no particular order to the list.

Queen of Shadows by: Sarah J. Maas- I really love the covers for this series. They are so badass and capture the series so well. I think Queen of Shadows may be my favorite yet though.

Surviving Ice by: K.A. Tucker- I went back and forth between Chasing River and Surviving Ice for a while because I love them both. While I still love the colors more for Chasing River, I had to pick Surviving Ice because the girl on the cover IS Ivy and the graffiti is awesome.

The White Rose by: Amy Ewing- Love this cover so much! The dress... the flower... just so pretty.

A Wicked Thing by: Rhiannon Thomas- I love pretty dresses and I do not care. This cover is simply stunning.

Crimson Bound by: Rosamund Hodge- Easily one of my favorite covers ever. The stairs within the forest and the girl in the cloak is just so pretty. It also fits the book so well and I love that.

Red Queen by: Victoria Aveyard- This cover made me want to read the book! I love how it is really very simple, but still so eye catching.

Descent by: Tara Fuller- This cover just screams Easton and Gwen, which is why I love it so much.

Nowhere But Here by: Katie McGarry- The typography! The boy on the motorcycle! It is perfect for this book!

Greta and the Glass Kingdom by: Chloe Jacobs- Love that this one features the heroine and I love how fierce Greta looks!

Pocketful of Sand by: M. Leighton- This is one of my favorite Michelle covers ever! I love the colors and I love how perfect it is for the book.

Honorable Mentions:
I wanted to keep the list to books I read in 2015, but I also wanted to mention these two covers because they are gorgeous and I cannot wait to read them.
