"The bestselling author of the Killer Instincts novels “knows how to write scorching sexual tension” (USA Today). Now she really sets it on fire in a new series about men and women living on the edge of violence, sex, and life and death.

After a devastating war decimated most of the world, Hudson Lane has only known the oppressive life under her own father’s tyranny. She finally escapes, branding herself an outlaw and hunted by the Enforcers. Her best chance at survival is Connor Mackenzie, an aggressively sensual fugitive who opens her eyes to the wicked possibilities of a world without rules.

As the leader of a band of outlaw fighters, Connor can’t resist the beautiful stranger who asks for his protection. Despite his reservations, he agrees to introduce her to a whole new way of life. But when Connor discovers Hudson’s connection to the enemies of liberty, he wonders how far he can trust the woman who has abandoned all inhibitions to challenge every forbidden desire."

My Thoughts:

This book was delicious. Dayuumm. Elle Kennedy knows how to write an incredibly steamy and great book. I devoured Claimed in one sitting and it was a great escape.

Hudson and Conner are really great characters. I really liked how strong Hudson was and that she didn’t take crap from anyone. She can take care of herself but she is smart and knows that being part of a group would be the better move and this is how she ends up with Conner and group. Conner is a tough nut to crack and on many occasions I wanted to throttle him. He makes mistakes and does some questionable things, but I still really liked him and I especially liked how he and Hudson fit together. Their chemistry is off the charts.

Speaking of their chemistry… well that led to some amazing steamy scenes. This book was off the charts hot! The sex scenes were very well written and were scorching. This book has a few ménage a trois scenes and holy wow. I just want to stand up and slow clap Elle Kennedy for this book. But yeah, this book is definitely erotica. It is also a dystopian and I love how those two genres blended.

I also have to mention Rylan because he was awesome and I adored him and I want more of him as the series goes on. He is sooo funny and his banter is great BUT I just know there is more there and I want to peel back the layers.

Claimed was a really good read and an awesome start to the series. I’m really looking forward to the rest of this series. Elle Kennedy is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.
