Book Review: One Foot In The Grave (Night Huntress #2) by: Jeaniene Frost

Release Date: April 29, 2008 from Harper
Goodreads | Amazon

"You can run from the grave, but you can’t hide…

Half-vampire Cat Crawfield is now Special Agent Cat Crawfield, working for the government to rid the world of the rogue undead. She’s still using everything Bones, her sexy and dangerous ex, taught her, but when Cat is targeted for assassination, the only man who can help her is the vampire she left behind.

Being around Bones awakens all her emotions, from the adrenaline rush of slaying vamps side by side to the reckless passion that consumed them. But a price on her head—wanted: dead or half-alive—means her survival depends on teaming up with Bones. And no matter how hard Cat tries to keep things professional between them, she’ll find that desire lasts forever…and Bones won’t let her get away again."

My Thoughts:

It’s official… I’m obsessed. I haven’t fallen in love with a series the way I have fallen in love with this one in a while and it feels so good. I have such a hard time thinking of things that don’t consist of Cat and Bones. All day at work all I can focus on is getting back to my book. I am so so glad I finally got to this series.

I adore Cat. She is a great heroine. She is strong and determined and funny and she can take care of herself. I love how powerful she is and that she has built up such a badass reputation.

As for Bones, well he has stolen my heart. He is my new book hubby and I want to keep him forever. I love him sooooo much. He is so strong yet sweet and sexy and he just goes for what he wants. He is clear that he wants Cat and he doesn’t try to fight it or hide it. I so loved that. While these two have their problems, their relationship is relatively angst free. For the most part they act like adults and I really love that. I love that I get to watch them fight side by side as opposed to with each other. I never doubt that Bones has Cat’s back and vice versa.

This book had so much action and it hits the ground running. I love that the book is just non-stop. I constantly want to keep going and I have such a hard time putting the book down. Oh and the sexy times. Ohhhhhhh man. Wow. I love Bones and Cat together. And Chapter 32. I was told, everyone promised me it was awesome and then it was even better than I thought it would be. Just dayumm.

One Foot In The Grave was a great read and I absolutely loved it. This series is addictive and awesome and fun and I can’t wait to see what Cat and Bones get up to next.

    1. They do have audio! I actually listened to the entire series on audio and loved it. Tavia Gilbert does it and she did fantastic.

This is an award free blog. I truly appreciate the thought but I simply do not have the time. Comments are an award all on their own =]
