Book Review: At Grave's End (Night Huntress #3) by: Jeaniene Frost

Release Date: December 30, 2008
from Harper
Goodreads | Amazon

"It should be the best time of half-vampire Cat Crawfield’s life. With her undead lover Bones at her side, she’s successfully protected mortals from the rogue undead. But though Cat’s worn disguise after disguise to keep her true identity a secret from the brazen bloodsuckers, her cover’s finally been blown, placing her in terrible danger.

As if that wasn’t enough, a woman from Bones’s past is determined to bury him once and for all. Caught in the crosshairs of a vengeful vamp, yet determined to help Bones stop a lethal magic from being unleashed, Cat’s about to learn the true meaning of bad blood. And the tricks she’s learned as a special agent won’t help her. She will need to fully embrace her vampire instincts in order to save herself—and Bones—from a fate worse than the grave."

My Thoughts:

This series owns me. I am so obsessed it is kinda ridiculous. Cat and Bones have solidified themselves on my all times favorites list. This book was another great addition to the series and I was addicted. I flew through it every chance I got and I couldn’t wait to get back to my book.

I continue to love Cat more and more with each book. She is just such a strong feisty character and she never backs down. She is not one to be left out of a fight, but she also knows she can’t do everything alone and is willing to work with others. I just love her because she continues to surprise me.

As for Bones, well I’m just head over heels in love with him. He too continues to surprise me and I just adore him. He is so strong and charming and sexy. The way he treats Cat is great. He loves her and has so much faith in her and its fantastic to watch.

Cat and Bones as a couple are amazing. I love love love how strong they are together and how they make one another stronger. I also love that they spend most of the book fighting together as opposed to fighting one another. Every time I think something is going to happen to come between them, I am pleasantly surprised. They live a crazy life and things aren’t easy all the time, but I love that their relationship is so strong and that they communicate when they have problems.

I also love the secondary cast of characters. There are so many characters that keep the story interesting. Characters I love, characters I hate, and characters I love to hate. It’s such a great world with a wide range of characters and paranormal beings.

At Grave’s End was another great addition to the series. I’m so happy I finally dove into these books. I’ll never be the same again.
