"The New York Times bestselling author of The Submissive returns with a scintillating new tale about power, danger, and jaw-dropping passion....

Nathaniel and Abby are struggling to navigate the challenging waters of their own relationship, when they get a surprising phone call from their partners in play, Dena and Jeff, who are in need of a helping hand…

Seven years ago, blonde, beautiful lawyer Dena Jenkins was tired of her carefully controlled life. Desperate for something exhilarating to help her escape the pressures of her demanding job and her senator father, she joined a steamy, local BDSM club as a submissive. There she met brooding Dominant, Jeff. The attraction between them was undeniable, and, despite Dena’s doubts, they couldn’t stay away from each other.

Except, as the years have passed, their blazing connection has proven difficult to maintain. Dena and Jeff have a history they’d rather forget, but Dena can’t let go of the past, and Jeff is ready to move across the country to give her space. Now, to save their passion, they’ll have to rediscover what it means to trust each other—and give themselves to each other completely…"

My Thoughts:

This series just keeps going strong. I know I'm always in for a fun and schmexy read when I pick up a Tara Sue Me book. I've been looking forward to Dena and Jeff's story since I met them in Seduced By Fire and I can't say I was disappointed. I devoured this one.

Dena was a great character and I really liked her. She was spunky and smart and just very easy to like. I also really liked Jeff. He was alpha and strong and demanding but he was also caring and sweet. Those two fit so well together and it hurt to see them struggling apart. Miscommunication and life broke them apart but it is clear they are both regretting what happened. I am a sucker for a good second chance romance and this one delivered. I really enjoyed watching these two come back together and work through their past problems. They really do work very well together and complete one another. I also enjoyed the subtle suspense element that was included in this story. The suspense made things a tad bit spicier even though I pegged the bad guy early.

As always, it's fun checking in with some characters. Nathaniel and Abby are always great to see again and I loved seeing my personal favorites Daniel and Julie. I'm torn between wanting them to have another story and not wanting them to have another story so they can stay happy. Oh and Cole and Sasha too! Those two are gonna have an interesting story. These characters form such a great little community and I really love visiting them.

The Collar was a fun addition to the series and I devoured it beginning to end. If you want something delicious and fun and seriously schmexy you gotta check this series out.
