"College drop-out, Roxy Cumberland, moved to New York with dreams of becoming an actress, but her dwindling bank account is quickly putting the kibosh on that fantasy. To make some quick cash, she signs up to perform singing telegrams. Her first customer is a gorgeous, cocky Manhattan trust-funder if she ever laid eyes on one. And what could be more humiliating than singing an ode to his junk, courtesy of his last one night stand? Maybe the fact that she’s dressed in a giant, pink bunny costume...

After a night out to celebrate winning his last case, lawyer Louis McNally II isn’t prepared for the pounding in his head or the rabbit serenading him from the front door. But the sassy wit and sexy voice of the girl behind the mask intrigues him, and one look at her stunning face—followed by a mind-blowing kiss against his doorjamb—leaves Louis wanting more.

Roxy doesn’t need a spoiled rich boy who’s had everything in life handed to him on a Tiffany platter. But there’s more to Louis than his sexy surface and he’s determined to make Roxy see it...even if it means chasing her all over NYC."

My Thoughts:

This is the kind of book you pick up when you need something steamy and quick and fun. I have been meaning to read a Tessa Bailey book for quite some time now and I am really glad I finally got around to it. I can definitely see the appeal and I know why people enjoy her books. Chase Me was such a fun time.

Roxy is such a fun character. I loved being insider her head and really admired her determination. I also loved her determination to do things by herself. I wanted her to open up a bit but I also kind of admired her for not doing so.

Louis was also a fun character. He seems like a stuck up rich boy, but he is really a lot more. Louis is caring and hardworking and really wants to do some good in the world. I liked that he was so much more than meets the eye.

The chemistry between Roxy and Louis was great and I especially liked their banter. I liked that they would go from joking around to steamy in the blink of an eye. The thing I struggled with though is how much crap Roxy put Louis through. Granted, Louis didn’t always think things through, but I still wondered what made him keep coming back. Also, he decided he liked her awfully quick. He was ready to settle down with Roxy almost immediately. The other thing I struggled with was the end. Everything wrapped up really quickly and I thought there were a few things that happened that I thought would turn out to be much more than they were. There were some things I would have liked to see a bit more of.

Other than those few things, I really did enjoy Chase Me. It was a lot of fun and was really sweet too. I’m definitely excited for more from this series and I also can’t wait to make time for more from this author.

  2. I've been putting this one off. Not that don't want to read it but time is always an issue. I read a review that said they didn't like Roxy much and I was worried. But I like the way you talk about them. Banter? Yes please. Joking to steamy in seconds flat? Oh yes! Great review.

  5. I love books that are fun and ones that have characters you can't help but enjoy! And of course I love me some good banter :D Despite the few things you didn't enjoy - I probably wouldn't enjoy such a quick transition of love either - the book does sound like a nice read!

    Lovely review my friend!

  7. GR. Blogger ate my comment. SIGH. Let's try this again. This wasn't my favorite Tessa Bailey book, but I'm glad you finally got around to checking her out! Louis was by far my favorite character. He was sexy and fun. Their chemistry was pretty hot, but I felt some it felt forced. Their banter was really great though!
