Weekly Recap 2/8/2015

So I was really stressed these past two weeks. I've just had a ton going on and when I am really stressed I always end up buying a ton of books. See when I get stressed, I usually somehow end up buying books because it makes me happy. I figure I could react to stress in worst ways so whatevs. But anyhoo, the result of the stress is a TON of books in this recap. The first book I grabbed was One Night of Sin. This was a Brazen freebie, so of course I could not say no. I love Brazens and I especially love when they are free. Then I got Burn, which was a gift from my amazing Wifey (Michele of A Belle's Tales). She is awesome and I love her big! I also grabbed Thoughtless and Reckless. These two were on sale. This is one of those series that has been on my radar for a while but I just never got to. I have Effortless, so when I saw these books super cheap I figured I should round out the series. Next up, I got Captive for review. I am REALLY excited for this one. I loved Brighton's Caged In Winter so I am excited for more from her. The next book makes me want to flail around like a crazy person. The superbly awesome Jessica from Lovin Los Libros was kind enough to lend me her copy of A Court of Thorns and Roses and I will be diving into this book ASAP. Next I grabbed My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century to bring with me to Apollycon later this month. I also got hardcovers of Wuthering Heights and The Picture of Dorian Gray for my shelf. I also got the copy of Emma with the flower on it to round out my collection of the classics with those covers as it was the only one I couldn't get from Book Outlet. And speaking of Book Outlet, the next books all came from there. A good amount of the books were just books I wanted to add to my collection, but I also grabbed some new ones to read. I got Sense and Sensibility, The Scarlet Letter, Jane Eyre, Persuasion, Pride and Prejudice, Revenge of the Witch (had to get this one with the movie coming), Pulse, Black and Blue (love the cover), My Not So Super Sweet Life, Keeping The Moon, This Lullaby, Lock and Key (Magen from Corrie The Book Crazed Girl loves Dessen so I had to grab these when I saw them), If I Stay, and Where She Went.

  1. YAY! I'm so excited for you to read ACOTAR. I hope you love it girl! Wooo Captive! Excited for that one too.

MSSSC is the only Rachel Harris book I haven't read. Which is crazy and I need to remedy that.

You'll have to tell me what you think of S.C. Stephens series. I've read the first two, but never brought myself to read the last one.

That Book Outlet haul is insane! I really want to read Persuasion at some point! :)

Enjoy all the new pretties girl!

  2. I just finished Thoughful, which is Thoughtless in the guy's POV & it made me think back to the series. Oh man, the feels. You def need to read Thoughtless and let me know how much you despise Keira like I do, lol. I hope you love ACOTAR, which I know you will. Hmm, I need to get my books in order for Apollycon, too.

  3. CAPTIVE! Cannot wait. Enjoy.

  4. A Court of Thorns and Roses! I cannot wait to read your thoughts on that one! I'm super excited for it! And I hope you just love Sarah Dessen! Lock and Key and This Lullaby is really good. *huggles*

I love getting comments and appreciate every single one of them! It always brightens my day =]

This is an award free blog. I truly appreciate the thought but I simply do not have the time. Comments are an award all on their own =]
