Weekly Recap 1/4/2015 -- The Christmas Goodies Edition

I am back! I took this last week off from blogging and it was splendid. No work, no blog, just me and my lazyness. I spent that time immersed once again in Hogwarts. I decided to re-read a few Harry Potter books and it was absolutely splendid. Those books are my first love and will forever hold a very special place in my heart. I loved going back there and it gave me all the feels. I even shared my reactions on twitter under the #TeresaReReadsHarryPotter hashtag and had a blast doing it. Because I had so much fun, I am thinking this will become a yearly thing I do during my time off around Christmas.

Okay so this recap is actually more of just a book haul since I took this past week off and it is two weeks worth of books and other bookish goodies I got for Christmas that I really want to share with you guys. Freebies I grabbed over the past two weeks are Dec The Holls (didn't get a chance to read this for Christmas, but maybe next year), Heartless, and Operation Cinderella. Then for review I got Oblivion by Kelly Creagh. I am soooooo excited to have this one! I am a huge fan of this series and I have been dying to get my hands on this one. Huge thanks to Simon & Schuster. For review I also got The Cage and The Replaced, both sound really good and big thanks to Harper Teen! Then I grabbed The Girl in 6E while it was on sale for 99 cents. That is a huge sale for that book and I could not pass it up. I also grabbed The Longest Ride while it was one sale and then I got the bind up of the Between The Lines Series since I have been dying to read those books for quite some time. Then I won a signed copy of Hard To Come By in a twitter giveaway and that book is super pretty. I also got an ARC of Salt & Stone for review, which I am really excited for since I loved Fire & Flood. Thank you Scholastic! For Christmas, I got a B&N gift card so I went shopping and got Lailah, I Want It That Way, and No Attachments. And last but not least my AMAZING Wifey Michele of A Belle's Tales and her wonderful daughter Mckenzie sent me the most amazing Christmas prezzie ever! It had all sorts of goodies and books. She sent me UK copies of Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, and Heir of Fire (THESE ARE SO DAMN PRETTY), Anew, The Troublemaker Next Door, All Of You, Before You Break, Reason To Breathe, Apolonia, Gravity, The Storyteller, and Fangirl. It was simply a package of awesome. Some other great bookishness I got for Christmas include an awesome Snitch inspired necklace, a tote bag designed with the entire text of Wuthering Heights, and an awesome Harry Potter tee shirt. So much bookish goodness.

  2. YAY! Welcome back friend! I'm so glad you had a great break and got some rereading time in! I love that snitch necklace and t-shirt! So cute! That is seriously one epic present from Michele! I've been wanting to read Fangirl for awhile now! Those UK covers of ToG are gorgeous!

I also got The Cage and The Replaced. This was before our Twitter talk though, so as of now I'm seriously staying away from reviewing. Salt & Stone! I keep obsessively checking my mailbox for it, but I don't think it's going to happen. I'll just have to wait until it comes out, which is actually ok since I think I have enough books. LOL.

You'll have to let me know what you think of Lailah and No Attachments! :D Anyways, happy reading Teresa!
