The final collection of New York Times bestselling author Rachel Vincent's Soul Screamers series is packed with emotion, with intrigue, with secrets, with family and above all, with love.

Don't miss WITH ALL MY SOUL, FEARLESS and a brand-new novella, LAST REQUEST."

My Thoughts:

Note: This is only a review of Last Request, the new novella included in this omnibus.

Okay so just a warning, this review will contain major spoilers for the Soul Screamers series, I just cannot discuss this novella without discussing a major event from With All My Soul. So be warned.

This novella will smack you right in the feels and then it will run them over with a truck. My gosh. I think I cried through the entire thing. This novella takes place between the ending chapters of With All My Soul and is told from Nash and Tod’s point of view. So basically it takes place two years after Kaylee has gone into the Netherworld and is when everyone thinks she is dead. So yeah, it hurt a lot. Reading from Tod’s perspective was absolutely gut wrenching and Nash’s wasn’t too pleasant either, but I loved this novella all the same.

I loved watching Nash and Tod work together to do something for Kaylee that she wasn’t around to do. They went after Thane and are determined to find Kaylee’s mother’s soul and finally put her to rest. It’s what Kaylee would have wanted. Watching these two work for her was heartbreaking, but again it was perfect. This was such a good novella and I really liked seeing some of the time we missed during With All My Soul. Reading from Tod’s perspective was great and I loved spending more time with him. Even when he is sad I still absolutely adore him. And I’m not going to lie; the last page of this novella turned me into a blubbering mess.

Last Request is a novella fans of the Soul Screamers series need to read. It is a nice extra for fans of the series. We finally get a look inside Nash’s head and we get to visit with Tod again. We also get to see some brotherly love. All in all a wonderful read.

  1. Such a pretty cover and great to hear that its full of emotions

  2. Gosh I missed out on a lot! one of those rare YA series that didn't annoy me. And that she does omnibuses, makes it easier for us readers to binge. This novella is an arrow to the heart I can see

  3. I sooo need to read this one! I just need the time!! BUT I can't wait to see Tod and Nash working together! It definitely sounds like a wonderful read!! :D

    Lovely, lovely review!!

  4. You know, I don't think I ever read past book four, or maybe five. I loved Tod and Nash, but I think maybe it's that Kaylee really started to bug me. No, she definitely did. lol
I hope I want to go back and read these someday and love it as much as you do!

  5. I'm with Andrea - Kaylee got on my nerves. I didn't like how things went down with Nash. Probably won't ever finish this series. But I'm really glad you have enjoyed it so much.

  6. Oh... I want to read this! I love Tod so much and as heartbreaking as I'm sure this was, I'd still like to see how he was feeling and seeing him and Nash work together. I love this series so much....

    1. This novella is perfect Jessica! If you love the series I know you will love this one!

  7. I loved this one -- seeing the brothers together and reading their POVs. Such a great addition to this series! Lovely mini-review, Wifey xoxoxo
