"When Liv Bennett said good-bye to her sinkhole of a hometown, she planned to leave that chapter of her life behind forever. But forever turned out to only be three years.

After her addict of a mother up and disappears, Liv returns to what she considers her own personal hell smack in the middle of nowhere Nevada to take care of her two younger sisters, and she promptly reinstitutes the golden rule that got her through her first nineteen years of life without getting knocked up, roughed up, or messed up: don’t date the local boys and, god forbid, don’t fall in love with one of them.

It isn’t long before that golden rule is put to the test.

Will Goods grew up in the next trailer over, but the wild, careless boy who used to tear up the town with his three brothers has morphed into someone else so completely, he’s almost unrecognizable. The quiet, contemplative man who works on cars every night and takes care of his mentally ill mother every day is nothing like the local boys Liv grew up avoiding.

But when Liv considers suspending her golden rule just this once, she finds out something about Will that will change everything.

Will Goods isn’t who he used to be—he’s not even the man Liv thinks she’s gotten to know over the summer. He’s become someone else entirely.

He’s become . . .

Damaged Goods."

My Thoughts:

This book was wonderful, that is the only way to describe it. Nicole Williams just does not know how to disappoint and this new series of hers is engaging and addictive and I want more. Damaged Goods was not at all what I was expecting. It was dark and gritty and sexy and emotional and heartfelt and just oh so good.

I took an immediate liking to Liv. That girl is tough. No other way to describe it. I love her attitude and her sass and I love the lengths she is willing to go to for her sisters and how much she is willing to give up for them. As someone with two sisters, this is something I completely understand. So on numerous levels, I just got Liv and I really just connected with her instantly. Also there is a scene early on that made me really admire her, because damn it took some guts to act the way she did.

Then we have Will and my gosh Will is just wonderful. I absolutely loved him. He is a great character and one you just fall for very easily. He is just sexy and sweet and looks at life in such a great way that it’s hard not to love him. Another Will to add to the list of amazing lovable characters named Will. The chemistry Will and Liv have together is explosive and they are exactly what one another needed.

I also loved Liv’s sisters Reese and Paige. They had some very wise words for Liv and I loved that they helped Liv to let down her walls. I especially liked Paige. That girl was just a riot, definitely a pain in the ass, but still funny.

Damaged Goods delivered in so many ways, but oh my did this book deliver a twist. HOLY TWIST BATMAN did it ever deliver a twist. I never ever saw it coming, didn’t even cross my mind, took me completely by surprise and oh how I just ate that up. By far one of the best twists I’ve read in a very long time. Just damn. It was awesome.

Damaged Goods was nothing like I expected it to be and I think I loved it even more because of that. Liv and Will have a dark and crazy story to tell, but it is a story worth reading. I just want to put this book (and this series) in everyone’s hands. Please please please do not miss this one.
