"A Connection Series Novella featuring Aerie Daniels and Jagger Kennedy (River Wilde's cousin)

Jagger Kennedy never went looking for fame, he just fell into it. After scoring a major modeling contract, his clean-cut good looks and charm catapulted his career. But when his actress girlfriend breaks his heart, he moves to L.A. to try his hand at acting. He needs to make a change, and the last thing he’s looking for is love…

Aerie Daniels is a woman in control … until she meets Jagger. Her surprising connection with him leaves her stunned, and it’s unlike anything she’s ever felt. But just when she lets her walls fall, she makes a startling discovery about him that breaks her fragile heart into a million pieces.

To keep from losing the one woman he can’t bear to be without, Jagger is willing to give up anything—including his career. But even that might not be enough to regain Aerie’s shattered trust…"

My Thoughts:

I am really enjoying this series and I am so glad I started it! This was such a quick and fun novella and I really loved it. I never felt like the story was rushed and I could definitely feel the connection between Aerie and Jagger. Also, I have to take a second to mention that cover- it’s beautiful.

I think part of the reason I enjoyed this book so much was Aerie. I identified with her in a lot of ways. The need for control and order really reminded me of myself, and the way she lets work basically become her life. The work thing really struck home, because I know I have trouble disconnecting from my job like Aerie. Also, I like to think I’m not as extreme as her, but I do like to control things and I don’t do well with change. So with that, I was able to empathize with her need for order and wanting things to be just so.

I also really liked Jagger. He is funny and sweet and charming. He is also drop dead gorgeous, so that helps. I love the way he adored Aerie and how he didn’t give up on her. He is just a great guy and easy to love. I also loved his bromance with River.

Novellas can be very hit or miss and I feel like this one did a good job. It was quick and fun, but it never felt rushed. I could feel the connection between the characters and I feel like I really got to know them. They really were great together and they had some super steamy moments.

All in all, Dazed was a very fun read. I am really enjoying this series and cannot wait to dive into Mended.

  1. It's nice that you found a relatable character in Aerie. I liked Jagger a lot too. When I first read this, I felt very underwhelmed. The more I think about it, though, the more I liked it.
