"It’s time.

Evil is running rampant and sweet Anna Whitt is its target. Nobody knows when or how the Dukes will strike, but Anna and her Nephilim allies will do anything necessary to rid the earth of the demons and their oppressive ways.

The stakes are higher than ever, and Anna is determined that the love she feels will be her strength, not a liability. But trying to protect the ones she loves while running for her life and battling demonic forces proves to be perilous—especially as faces are changing and trust is fleeting. When the Duke of Lust sends Anna’s great love, Kaidan Rowe, to work against her, Anna must decide how much she’s prepared to risk.

In the most sensual and fast-paced installment yet, Sweet Reckoning brings all the beloved Neph together one last time to fight for their freedom."

My Thoughts:

I am so sad that I have to say goodbye to this series. I feel like I’ve been with it from the beginning and being that I read the first book as an ARC, I guess I kind of have, and now that I have to say goodbye it is giving me a case of the sads. And while I’m sad to say goodbye, I am satisfied with the conclusion and I’m not left wanting for anything more.

Anna has become such a strong character and I truly love that. I love when I can see character growth and you definitely see it in Anna over the course of the series. She really comes to terms with everything she needs to do and she doesn’t back down. I also just like her as a person. I’m not even sure I can pin point it exactly, but I feel like I would get along with her.

Now of course I have to talk about Kaiden. That boy just oozes sex appeal and I eat up every single second of it. Kai has always been a walking talking swoon, but he somehow amped it up in this one. With Kai no longer trying to hide his feelings, he is free to show them and he shows them well. I fell hard for him in this book and somehow came to love him even more. Because not only is he a giant swoon, he is also sweet and caring and desperately in love with Anna.

What I loved most about this book was watching Anna and Kai work together. They really are stronger together and they give each other something to fight for. My biggest gripe with Sweet Peril was that it took way too long for Kai to show up. Well, I officially forgive him because he more than made up for it in this one and I loved watching those two together.

Everything finally comes together in this book and I loved watching it play out and see all the pieces fall into place. There is danger around every turn and nobody is safe. I really didn’t know how everything would turn out in the end and I had fun watching it all fall into place. It was the perfect mix of romance (super steamy romance), drama, and action.

Sweet Reckoning was my favorite of the series and I couldn’t have asked for a better conclusion. I love this take on Nephilim because it is so different from most other takes. This was an addictive read and one I easily devoured it in one sitting. The ending left me smiling through my tears and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

  6. I loved how sweet and caring Kai was with Anna in this book. Seeing this other side of him was just plain awesome. While this wasn't the epic ending I was hoping for, it was still a good one and I did enjoy it. Sad to see this series end.
