"Tara Sue Me became a worldwide phenomenon with the Submissive Trilogy. Now she presents a scorching tale about a risky passion too hot to ignore.…

Julie Masterson craves a taste of danger.

Despite being familiar with the different games people play in the bedroom, she’s never given in to her curiosity about putting her body in someone else’s power—until a chance meeting with Daniel Covington, the seductive Senior VP of Weston Bank, draws her into a titillating new world of sexual experience, one that she never knew she desperately needed.

Daniel is highly respected within his community, but he hasn’t had an exclusive relationship for over two years. Yet Julie’s eager innocence is driving him to the brink of ecstasy, making him rethink his feelings about commitment.

As their sizzling connection heats up, Daniel is ready to take Julie fully under his command. But when the dangerous side of their play rears its ugly head, Julie will have to decide if she trusts him enough to surrender completely—or if she should escape before she gets burned..."

My Thoughts:

This was a really quick and really fun read. I can honestly say that I could not put it down. It had a very addictive quality to it. One where from the moment I began, I just needed to know where the story was going and where the characters would end up. The characters are likable and they have great chemistry.

Julie and Daniel are great together and the connection is instantaneous. I really liked them together and I liked their relationship. Julie is looking to explore her submissive tendencies and Daniel is an experienced Domm. However, they meet each other without either one of them knowing those things and I liked that they gravitated toward each other naturally. Julie is a great character; she is strong and spunky and is finally giving in to something that she has always been curious about. Daniel is also a great guy. He is of course a dominant alpha male but he never crosses the line into cruel. He is a great guy and always has Julie’s best needs at heart.

I think what I really enjoyed about this novel is that it was more than just Julie and Daniel’s relationship and the exploration of that. That is of course a huge part of the story and what it is centered on, but it’s also about Julie coming to terms with who she is as a person. Just as Julie is beginning to accept herself and her nature, she comes face to face with the dangerous side of this lifestyle. Her best friend is seriously injured in a scene gone wrong and it shakes Julie. It makes her question everything and she can’t seem to separate Daniel from what happened with her friend. It was interesting to see the flip side of things and see how it made Julie doubt everything. At the same time though, I felt like it enabled Julie to know exactly what she was doing and getting into and if she can trust trust Daniel knowing all that it may just make their relationship stronger.

I also really liked the secondary characters, especially Dena and Cole. Dena becomes a great friend for Julie, and Cole just seems fun. I’m hoping they each get their own books because I’d love to see more of them.

Seduced By Fire was a really steamy and really engaging read. I loved how it was so easy to read and get lost in. It was a great escape for a few hours.

  1. I like it when there is more to the story than just the relationship. Nice review.

  2. Wonderful review, Wifey! If you hadn't already told me about this one -- which led to me immediately adding it to my wish list -- this review would have me running for Amazon. What you say about Julie coming to terms with who she is and accepting her nature right before things turn a dangerous corner has me incredibly intrigued! I am so excited to meet these characters and read this author's work. Love this fabulous review *glomps*

  3. I tend not to read much "adult" books, but your review persuades me to! I love that the romance is well developed, but at the same time there's actually a real story going on here. Great review! :)

  4. I like the sound of this, Teresa, in that it's also a story about Julie learning about herself and accepting herself. You know I like a good story to go along with some good steam! ;) I know you really like the author as well, so I'll give her a shot. Lovely review!

  5. Ooh, I'm starting this in a few days. You have me super excited, Teresa. Great review!

  6. Great review, Teresa!!

I love when a book is more than the relationship of the characters. When it has so many interesting and well-developed dynamics! I haven't heard or seen this one around. But Julie and Daniel sound like a must meet! And I will admit, I'm soo curious about this world!!

  7. Excellent Review Teresa! I find this lifestyle very intriguing. I like that the main character was also coming to terms with who she was as a person. I think the dangerous part of this lifestyle would also be very interesting to read!
