Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke And The Bookish.
I love the topic this week! It is just fun and there are so many worlds I want nothing to do with, but I have no problem watching my heroes and heroines struggle through it.
1. The Hunger Games by: Suzanne Collins- I am sure this will be a popular pick, but no... this is not a happy place to be.
2. Divergent by: Veronica Roth- Again, just way too much that could go wrong in this world. Plus after the revelations in Allegiant, well yeah.
3. Perfection by: JL Spelbring- A world in which the Nazi's won the war? Yeah, I think I'll pass.
4. Shatter Me by: Tahereh Mafi- Have we all met Warner's father? That man is a psycho...
5. Delirium by: Lauren Oliver- This one may be the worst! You literally lose your ability to feel and pretty much just walk around catatonic!
6. The Immortal Rules by: Julie Kagawa- Not only are there vampires (and not the sexy kind) there are crazy vampires that have no control over their actions!
7. A Song of Ice and Fire by: George RR Martin- Unless I got to be Daenearys, then this world is just not worth it!
8. Greta and the Goblin King by: Chloe Jacobs- This is a pretty cool world, but there is no way I would survive there! Something would eat me!
9. Something Strange & Deadly by: Susan Dennard- Zombies are cool but I have no desire to actually live in a world with them. Also a world where the flesh eating buggers can be controlled and used against you just makes it worse somehow.
10.Uninvited by: Sophie Jordan- This world freaked me out! From the kill gene to the camps, just everything.
What made your list?

A couple of your books totally made my list too. I'd hate to be Davy or live in a world with a kill gene. That sounds crazy to me. I couldn't imagine living in the world of Divergent, Shatter Me, or the Hunger Games. So much death happens in those worlds and although there's a struggle to be better, I feel like some one would have to be some of the faceless people who have to die for the cause. Eeek.

Yeah, anything with zombies is a NO for me. I have a huge fear of them being real, so NO NO NO. Freaks me out!
ReplyDeleteRachel @ Beauty and the Bookshelf
I'm sad to say that I haven't read any of the books you mentioned but many are on my TBR list for this year.

I mentioned Westeros too! Jon Snow is not enough of a reason to go live there!

Nice picks! I totally agree with The Hunger Games. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteI need to read some of these books! I totally agree with you on the world's in Hunger Fames, Divergent and Delirium!!!! I need to read the rest of the books on your list :)
ReplyDeleteLindy@ A Bookish Escape
Definitely! Don't want anything to do with living in those books. Now take the yummy Four out of the book and I'm on board!
ReplyDeleteOh I totally agree with these- especially Uninvited, Shatter Me, and Immortal Rules! I just read Uninvited last night and that is TOO scary! I could actually see something crazy like that happening in the future.
ReplyDeleteGirllll, you nailed this list!! Perfect choices! I'm in complete agreement... although... I think I'd take my chances with Divergent -- Four is worth the risk ;) Fabulous job, Wifey xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteWhy am I not surprised you would take the risk for Four... its the back tattoos *sigh*
DeleteWoW! Great list- your top one and two would be on my list as well.
ReplyDeleteI adore some dystopians, but, boy, I wouldn't survive!! HAHA Iove some of these choices! And I'm with Michele, I'd risk Divergent just to feel up Four... hahahaha XD Great picks, girl!
