Top Ten Tuesday: Books I'd Recommend To New Adult Fans

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke And The Bookish.

This week we had some freedom with our list. I decided to list books I'd recommend to New Adult fans. Lately there seems to be a lot, and I mean A LOTT, of New Adult books in the market. A lot of the times, it seems as if they all follow the same path or pattern, so I wanted to spotlight some of my favorites and those that stand out for me.

1. Frigid by: J. Lynn- Neither of the characters have a dark and angsty past, so that makes it special. Also it is JLA and therefore awesome.

2. Foreplay by: Sophie Jordan- I loved this book so much. It was fun and sweet and not at all over the top.

3. Lost & Found by: Nicole Williams- Cowboys.... there are not many NA books with cowboys. Also, I have some serious love for Jesse Walker.

4. Slammed by: Colleen Hoover- Will is such a good guy and not a bad boy AT ALL!

5. Strength by: Carrie Butler- This is a paranormal New Adult and there are not many of those.

6. Into the Deep by: Samantha Young- I loved this one because it was about second chances and I thought it was told in a very interesting and original way.

7. Easy by: Tammara Webber- This book practically invented New Adult...

8. Sweet Thing by: Renee Carlino- I loved this one because it was more about the character finding out who she is and not just who she is going to have a relationship with.

9. Stay With Me by: Elyssa Patrick- This is another one that is very low on the angst, and I loved it for that.

10. If You Leave by: Courtney Cole- Gabriel Vincent... that is all.

What made your list?

  1. I actually really didn't like Frigid. It was so disappointing because Wait For You was one of my favourite books this year. Totally agree with Into The Deep and Easy though! I've wanted to read Foreplay and Lost & Found too so thanks for persuading me :)

    Great list!

  3. Think I've only read 2 of these. I have no intentions of reading Frigid though cause I didn't like the author's other books.

  10. I was hoping you did a list like this (youre the only blogger who I visit that reads NA a lot). I always want to try NA, but everytime I do I end up pissed off. NA is something you really need someone to recommend to you before you try it because there are a lot of icky ones out there. The ones you have listed look good... esp. Easy and Slammed.

  11. You have made some great recommendations there. Easy is one of my favorites. I'm guessing you've seen the cover for Breakable. I can't wait for it's release so we can see Lucus's story.

This is an award free blog. I truly appreciate the thought but I simply do not have the time. Comments are an award all on their own =]
