"This novella is a companion novel to the Hopeless series, but can be read as a standalone.
A chance encounter in the dark leads eighteen-year-old Daniel and the girl who stumbles across him to profess their love for each other. But this love comes with conditions: they agree it will only last one hour and it will only be make-believe.

When their hour is up and the girl rushes off like Cinderella, Daniel tries to convince himself that what happened between them only seemed perfect because they were pretending it was perfect. Moments like that with girls like her don’t happen outside of fairytales.

One year and one bad relationship later, his disbelief in insta-love is stripped away the day he meets Six: a girl with a strange name and an even stranger personality. Daniel soon realizes the way he pretended to feel about Cinderella and the way he really feels about Six may not be so different after all. Especially when the two loves of his life end up being one in the same.

Unfortunately for Daniel, finding Cinderella doesn’t guarantee their happily ever after…it only further threatens it."

My Thoughts:

Only Colleen Hoover can write a novella that manages to take my heart, make me feel all the good things, then rip it out, stomp on it, toss it around a bit, and then somehow manage to put it back together. Just like everything else she writes, this novella is incredible. I loved Daniel and Six’s story so much that I don’t have enough words to fully express it. They are just so perfect together. I also loved seeing Sky and Holder again.

Daniel is an incredible character. He is so unique and wonderful and truly one of a kind. I fell in love with him in Losing Hope, but now I just want to squeeze him and keep him forever. I love his jokes and his way with words and I love how he gives everyone nicknames. Two words… Salty Balls. Six is also wonderful and nothing like I expected her to be. She is great and funny and just all around awesome.

While I loved seeing the relationship between Daniel and Six, I also really loved seeing Holder and Daniel together. Daniel really appreciates Holder and he loves him. They are best friends, but the real kind of best friends. I loved how Daniel knew he could go to Holder with anything and he wouldn’t question but would just be there for him. I also loved how happy he was to see Daniel happy. I also need to mention Daniel’s family because they are amazing. It is very clear where Daniel gets him antics from.

This book shocked me. I never in a million years saw the twist coming. It was amazing and it hurt and it completely blindsided me. Then that ending was absolute perfection and made my heart burst with all the happy things.

Finding Cinderella is yet another great story from Colleen Hoover. She just continues to solidify her spot on my favorite authors ever and they better not stop writing books list.

    1. Colleen Hoover does NA right! Its not overly sexy and doesnt really follow the cliche's. If there is any NA books to give a chance, its Hoover's.

  2. Salty Balls!! I loved this one, and I agree with you completely about Six -- not what I expected, and I really grew to love her in this novella. Oh, Daniel -- he just makes my life. Awesome mini-review, wifey! *smoosh*
