"Braden Carmichael never imagined he’d fall as hard and as fast as he did for Jocelyn Butler. He also could not have anticipated how difficult it would be to convince her to give in to love. But now that he has her, he’s never letting go. He’s got it all planned—the passionate proposal, the dream wedding, the sexy Hawaiian honeymoon—even the perfect family they’ll start.

After trying to flee from her painful past, Joss is finally allowing herself to embrace the future. But when things start moving faster than she anticipated, she finds herself panicking over something Braden can’t understand. After everything they’ve been through, Joss is sure that their love can survive even her worst fears. But, this time, she may push Braden too far—and risk losing everything all over again…"

My Thoughts:

On Dublin Street is one of my favorite books ever. There are not many books I would choose over it. I love Joss and Braden and I can experience their story over and over again. So to say I was excited for Castle Hill would be an understatement. I was so excited that the moment it hit my kindle, I began reading. I devoured it in one sitting and absolutely adored it. I loved getting more of Joss and Braden, even if it was only a little bit more.

The tough thing with novellas is that you have to make the story emotional over a relatively short span. Samantha Young did this wonderfully. My heart was torn to pieces and of course I loved every second of it. It was such a good story and one that fans of this series really should not miss. There were so many supremely sweet moments that made me smile like a goofball. But this is Joss and Braden, so there were also tons of steamy scenes and yes caveman Braden does come to visit. However, again this is Joss and Braden so there is some heartache to be found. Joss has come a very long way, but that doesn’t mean everything is perfect. Joss and Braden hit a rough patch in this one and it tore my heart apart.

I don't really know how to express how much I loved this novella. It was just such a great read and I wish it didn't have to end.

Castle Hill was a great novella and I really love that I was able to get some more Joss and Braden. It was sweet and steamy and heartbreaking. It is exactly how a novella should be done. The story moved at a good pace and didn’t feel rushed at all. This is definitely one I will revisit again and again.

  1. I totally lost track of this series after the second book. I loved the first one, but second one slightly disappointed me. I'm so happy to hear that this one is amazing and I hope I'll get to read it soon. Great review, Teresa :)

  2. I loved ODS, too, and am excited to read this. It's great to know that SYoung created a full, wonderful story in a small space. Great review, Teresa!

  3. I still need to read, On Dublin Street. This sounds like such a great little novella. I agree it's difficult to get attached and feel deep emotion for short stories. It takes such talent to be able to accomplish this. I love sweet, and steamy cavemen! I can't wait to get to this series! Great Review Teresa :)
