Series Feature: Dragonfly by: Leigh T. Moore (Author Interview)

Don’t miss the Dragonfly Series!
Book 3, WATERCOLOR, is out October 3rd!

"Dragonfly swept me off my feet! Once I started reading this book it kinda sucked me into the story and I had a hard time putting it down." --Stephanie, My Thoughts... reviews

Five Stars! "Angst, longing, jealousy, mystery, secrets, love triangles, sexy scenes! Could you even ask for more? Well you can because it is also very well-written and fast-paced. Great book to dive into poolside, but I will warn you may get so swept up in it you may end up with some sun burn. So I STRONGLY suggest you invest in some sunscreen as well as a copy of Dragonfly." --Nichole, Goodreads reviewer

"I truly enjoyed this one! I thought the characters were intriguing, the mystery and story were interesting and definitely have ME WANTING MORE!!!!!!!" --Mandy, The Romance Bookie

“Gossip Girl meets VC Andrews in this contemporary family saga. Love, lies, and betrayal become the new normal when Anna enters the world of Jack and Lucy Kyser.” –Magan Vernon, international bestselling author of The Only Exception

"Three bad things I learned this year:
-People you trust lie, even parents.
-That hot guy, the one who’s totally into you, he might not be the one.
-Things are not always how they appear.
Three good things I learned this year:
-Best friends are always there for you, even when they’re far away.
-That other hot guy, the one who remembers your birthday, he just might be the one.
-Oh, and things are not always how they appear.
Anna Sanders expected an anonymous (and uneventful) senior year until she crossed paths with rich-and-sexy Jack Kyser and his twin sister Lucy.
Pulling Anna into their extravagant lifestyle on the Gulf Coast, Lucy pushed Anna outside her comfort zone, and Jack showed her feelings she’d never experienced... Until he mysteriously withdrew.
Anna turned to her internship at the city paper and to her old attraction for Julian, a handsome local artist and rising star, for distraction. But both led to her discovery of a decades-old secret closely guarded by the twins’ distant, single father.
A secret that could permanently change all their lives.
Falling in Love Changes Everything…"

"Falling in love will pull you under...
-Bill Kyser has a plan to take the sandy farms of his hometown and turn them into a world-class tourist destination--and become a billionaire in the process.
-Alexandra "Lexy" LaSalle has a plan to change her life by becoming a world-famous artist.
-Meg Weaver has a plan to hold onto Bill no matter what she has to do.
Three friends, three dreams.
One fatal decision will change all their lives forever.
In Dragonfly, Bill Kyser gave Anna the three journals that held the story behind the powerful developer's seclusion and the damaged lives of his family members.
Anna hopes to find a way for Julian to know the truth, but as she digs deeper into the tragic events of the past, she realizes silence could be the only option.
Now she's in an alliance with the man she formerly feared. And if Julian finds out what she knows, she could lose for good the boy she's starting to love."
Goodreads

"Finishing senior year is supposed to be the best time in a person’s life.
Finishing senior year as Julian’s girlfriend should’ve been the icing on the cake.
Knowing the secret that could change everything for him is the only thing threatening to spoil it all.
Until Jack returns.

Anna and Julian are together at last, and it’s as hot and happy as they knew it would be. The only problem is The Secret.
And Jack.
But while Anna is determined to fight for the guy she loves, she could still lose Julian when he discovers the truth she’s been helping to hide."

Author Interview:
Hi Leigh! Thanks for dropping by the blog today!
Thanks so much for having me here, Teresa!

So to start us off, can you give us the quick and dirty on Dragonfly?
It’s the series starter, so it takes us all the way back to when Jack’s a jerk, Julian’s indecisive, and Anna’s somewhat immature. It’s sexy and beachy and then there’s this big secret Anna discovers, which lays the groundwork for what’s coming.

If you had to describe yourself in two words, what would they be and why?
Hmm… hard one. I’m pretty Type A, I guess. You have to be to stay in this business (LOL!). And I’m a total romantic at heart. Seriously. I wish we could all live in one of those romantic musicals...

What is the best advice you have ever been given?
I have two—just keep swimming and don’t read reviews lower than 3-star.

You are stuck on a deserted island, what book/series do you want with you?
Harry Potter series. Then I could finally finish them-!!! I know. Save your tomatoes for your salad. But I saw all the movies before I finished the series, and I never got back to reading the last ones.

Still on the deserted island, which book boyfriend is keeping you company?
ooo… Can I have more than one? LOL! Julian is really an amazing book boyfriend, but I know I should choose someone else’s… the last book I read was The Opportunist, and I confess. I have a huge crush on Caleb Drake. I need to finish that series stat!

When you are writing, what are some of the things you have to have nearby?
A notebook—because my brain will jump ahead a scene sometimes when I’m writing, and I have to make notes. …that’s pretty much it. I don’t like music while I write, because I start listening to the songs and forget what I’m writing… LOL!

If you were not an author, what do you think you would be doing?
Oh, I’d still be a journalist, I guess. When I was young I dreamed of being the next Anna Wintour. That would be cool.

Favorite writing snack?
Goldfish. (I know!)

This or That:
Chocolate or Vanilla?
Chocolate
Winter or Summer? Summer
Coke or Pepsi? Coke
Pink or Blue? Pink
Football or Baseball? Football (LSU!!!)

Thanks for dropping by the blog today. It was great to have you here!
Thank YOU so much for having me! I hope you enjoy the Dragonfly series.

  6. I'm the same about music - it's great when I'm somewhere like on a bus with nothing else to do, but when I'm busy writing, doing homework, or something of that sort, listening to music just distracts me. I can never really understand how people listen to music and do homework at the same time. When I try that, I forget what I'm doing and find myself humming/singing along, hehe. And the HP series! The author must finish! It's amazing <3 Great interview!

I love getting comments and appreciate every single one of them! It always brightens my day =]

This is an award free blog. I truly appreciate the thought but I simply do not have the time. Comments are an award all on their own =]
