"NEWSOUL
Ana is new. For thousands of years in Range, a million souls have been reincarnated over and over, keeping their memories and experiences from previous lifetimes. When Ana was born, another soul vanished, and no one knows why.

NOSOUL
Even Ana's own mother thinks she's a nosoul, an omen of worse things to come, and has kept her away from society. To escape her seclusion and learn whether she'll be reincarnated, Ana travels to the city of Heart, but its citizens are afraid of what her presence means. When dragons and sylph attack the city, is Ana to blame?

HEART
Sam believes Ana's new soul is good and worthwhile. When he stands up for her, their relationship blooms. But can he love someone who may live only once, and will Ana's enemies—human and creature alike—let them be together? Ana needs to uncover the mistake that gave her someone else's life, but will her quest threaten the peace of Heart and destroy the promise of reincarnation for all?

Jodi Meadows expertly weaves soul-deep romance, fantasy, and danger into an extraordinary tale of new life."

My Thoughts:

If you had to ask me one word to describe Incarnate, my immediate answer would be sweet. All I could think about as I read this book is how sweet and adorable the whole story is. It is hands down one of the sweetest books I have ever read. I loved the story and the romance and the characters.

Ana was a great heroine and it’s hard not to feel for her. She is the first of her kind and feels alone in the world. She is either a nosoul or a newsoul depending on who you ask. She was raised by a mother who clearly didn’t want her and abused her. It has made her feel worthless and very defensive. At the same time though, she is strong. She wants to find a place to belong and is determined to take care of herself. I can’t help but admire her.

The character that I absolutely fell in love with was Sam. Oh my heart, how I loved him. After a series of circumstances, he ends up accompanying Ana. He doesn’t judge or condemn her, but wants to get to know her. He takes care of her when she needs it and helps her discover who she is. He treats her how she deserves to be treated. He is sweet and good and just so easy to love. And the masquerade scene left me swooning and sighing.

The whole premise of this story and the world created is intriguing. The idea of reincarnation in itself isn’t original, but the way it is done here is. With each reincarnation, you remember everything from your previous lives. Really its immortality since your life just continues with each reincarnation into each new body. The idea itself is a bit hard to wrap your head around initially, but as the story progresses it begins to make sense. I found it so interesting. But now I have questions as to how and why this all began. It left me dying for more to the story.

Along with all this, we have Ana’s search for how she came to be. Not everyone wants her around and she isn’t exactly safe. There are so many layers to the story that keep your turning pages and dying for some answers. Then add in fantasy creatures such as dragons and we have a winner.

All in all, Incarnate was a great read that kept me glued to the pages. I loved the world and character and cannot wait to make time for the next book.
