"“More than a ridiculously sexy, HOT read, Desrochers takes you on a wild ride of self-discovery and bittersweet romance.”— JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT, #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR

"Sinfully sexy, but utterly unique. My favorite New Adult book of the year!" —Cora Carmack, New York Times bestselling author of Losing It

"This is forbidden love and longing done absolutely right! Complicated and sexy doesn't even begin to describe Lexie's journey." —Jay Crownover, New York Times bestselling author of Rule

Have you ever gone just a little too far?

Lexie Banks has.

Yep. She just had mind-blowing sex with her stepbrother. In her defense, she was on the rebound, and it’s more of a my-dad-happened-to-marry-a-woman-with-a-super-hot-son situation. But still, he’s been her best friend and confidant for the better part of the last few years … and is so off limits. It’s a good thing she’s leaving in two days for a year abroad in Rome.

But even thousands of miles away, Lexie can’t seem to escape trouble. Raised Catholic, she goes to confession in hopes of alleviating some of her guilt … and maybe not burning in hell. Instead, she stumbles out of the confessional and right into Alessandro Moretti, a young and very easy-on-the-eyes deacon … only eight months away from becoming a priest. Lexie and Alessandro grow closer, and when Alessandro’s signals start changing despite his vow of celibacy, she doesn’t know what to think. She’s torn between falling in love with the man she shouldn’t want and the man she can’t have. And she isn’t sure how she can live with herself either way."

Hey Lisa. Thanks for stopping by the blog today. It's great to have you here.
For those who may not know, can you give us the quick and dirty on A Little Too Far?
Here’s the sound bite: When 20 yo Lexie Banks falls for the wrong guy, she thinks escaping to Rome for a year abroad is going to be the answer to her problems, but forbidden love manages to find her there too.

Okay this is a question I always like to ask. If you had to choose two words to describe yourself, what would they be and why?
Obsessive and (a little) crazy

So what can you tell us about the love triangle in A Little Too Far? And how did you go about making your love triangle different from the others out there?
I have a very intelligent girl (Lexie), a sophisticated backdrop (the Roman art culture), and no tattooed bad boy. Instead, I have a stepbrother who, yes, has one small tattoo, and yes, drives a motorcycle, but is NOT a bad boy, and who cares deeply for his stepsister. And I have a man who’s without a single tattoo, and wears a white collar. He’s on his way to becoming a priest. But he also comes to care deeply for Lexie. There is no insta-love, or even insta-lust. The relationships develop slowly and organically.

What is your favorite love triangle? I'm asking this purely for selfish reasons because I'm always looking for a good triangle!
The one I always go back to, because it’s the first I read that was done well (and the only true love triangle I know of—meaning there is love interest between all three characters) is Leslie, Ari, and Niall in Melissa Marr’s Ink Exchange.

What is the inspiration behind A Little Too Far? Can any of the story be traced back to a real life experience?
I can tell you with absolute certainty that nothing in this book ever happened to me or anyone else I know. Total fiction. What is real is my love of Rome, which I hope comes through on the page. I set the book there so I could lose myself in Rome for a little while. As far as the inspiration, all my books start with a character. In this case it was Lexie. I don’t generally outline, so I just let her tell me her story.

So now that we have talked a bit about A Little Too Far, what can you tell us about the next two books in the series?
They are companion novels, so we get to spend time with some of the characters from A LITTLE TOO FAR, but they’re not sequels. Each book stands alone. I can’t tell you who’s story A LITTLE TOO MUCH (Nov 12, 2013) is, but it’s dark and intense, and the main character is one of the most complex I’ve ever written. A LITTLE TOO HOT (Jan 21, 2014) is Sam’s story. She gets herself in a heap of trouble, is all I can say about that one.

You're stuck on a deserted island. What book or series do you want to have with you?
Gayle Forman’s If I Stay and Where She Went.

Favorite writing snack?
Green apple gummies (preferably butterflies, which ties in with A LITTLE TOO MUCH)

This or That:
Skittles or Starbursts? Starbursts
Coke or Pepsi? Coke
Pink or Purple? Purple
Batman or Superman? Batman
Winter or Summer? Summer

Thanks so much for dropping by today. It was great having you here.
