Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke And The Bookish

So I chose to feature dystopian books on my list this week, since I tend to be very very picky when it comes to this genre, but it also contains some of my all time favorites!

1. Divergent by: Veronica Roth- I adore this book to death! Tris and Four are fantastic. Hands down my favorite dystopian.

2. The Hunger Games by: Suzanne Collins- Of course this makes the list. Its the book that first introduced me to this genre and of course I love Katniss.

3. Unravel Me by: Tahereh Mafi- The writing in this book is absolutely gorgeous. I also love how it blended dystopian with paranormal. I never know what to expect with these and WARNER!!!

4. Delirium by: Lauren Oliver- I adored this book and the writing is amazing. I almost wish the series ended with this one, even though that end broke my heart.

5. Black City by: Elizabeth Richards- Loved this book and I loved this take on vampires. The world was scary but oh so good.

6. Dearly, Departed by: Lia Habel- This was an awesome world. It was a dystopian but also victorian and we can't forget the zombies. I just loved everything about this book.

7. Insurgent by: Veronica Roth- Of course I needed to mention both books in this series, I just love them too much not to.

8. Rot and Ruin by: Jonathan Maberry- Loved this series. The world was so interesting and of course I loved the zombies.

9. The Eternity Cure by: Julia Kagawa- I actually didn't love The Immortal Rules, but I enjoyed the sequel so much more. Probably because of Jackal, he is awesome.

10. Perfection by: J.L. Spelbring- A world in which Hitler won WWII made for a very interesting read with non stop action and I loved it.

What made your list?

  16. I really love Dystopian books, but it is hard to find some that really suck me in. You did list some of my absolute favs though :) *high fives*

I, for some reason, just could not get into Delirium. I think I just wasn't in the mood for a dystopian when I picked it up. I think I might need to give it another try... :)

LOVE this list and all the awesome that is in it!!

    1. Delirium is tough. I personally loved it, but I know a lot who didnt. Also, in my opinion the follow up is not nearly as good.

  20. I LOVE this list! HG, Divergent, Eternity Cure... I loved Shatter Me, but I've been a child and refusing to read Unravel Me because of the W word. I just can't do it. And I really want to read Elizabeth Richard's books! Great list amiga!

  22. I still have Black City sitting on my shelf. I know how much you loved that one, so I can't wait to pick it up. Speaking of shelves...I just noticed I also have Divergent sitting on my shelf. lol ;p I seriously need to pick up these reads. But the thing is I'm also very picky about dystopians so I always tend to be very wary of them. But I am very excited to try them out! Great picks, Teresa! :D
