Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke And The Bookish

This week we are featuring books that are intimidating. This can be for a number of reasons (length, content, high expectations, etc...)

1. Requiem by: Lauren Oliver- I am super nervous about this one. I have heard so many terrible things about the ending and it just has me terrified to read it. I loved Delirium and would hate to see the series ruined for me because of the ending.

2. The Fault In Our Stars by: John Green- I do plan to read this one eventually, but I am also terrified of it. I just know it is going to mash my heart into itty bitty pieces.

3. Dead Ever After by: Charlaine Harris- Another one I am dreading because of the ending. I just know it is not going to go my way and I just cannot bear to see that happen. It is a shame because I used to adore this series.

4. Gone With The Wind by: Margaret Mitchell- I actually read this one already and it is one of my all time favorite books. However, I wanted to feature it because I remember being truly intimidated by it. I am glad I read it though, because it is beautiful.

5. Wuthering Heights by: Emily Bronte- This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE BOOK! I cannot even count the number of times I have read this one. However, this was another one I was very hesitant to pick up many years ago.

And that is all the books I can think of that intimidate me. I'm sure there are more, but I cant remember them.

What made your list?

  5. Look at us having two in common! Requiem is another of those I went and peeked at the end. But I didn't really care for Delirium and Pandemonium, so I didn't feel too bad about doing it. I read Wuthering Heights once, but I didn't care for it. I would like to try again though.
