"Cash is haunted by things. Hungry, hollow things. They only leave him alone when Anaya, Heaven’s beautiful reaper, is around. Cash has always been good with girls, but Anaya isn’t like the others. She’s dead. And with his deteriorating health, Cash might soon be as well.

Anaya never breaks the rules, but the night of the fire she recognized part of Cash’s soul—and doomed him to something worse than death. Cash’s soul now resides in an expired body, making him a shadow walker—a rare, coveted being that can walk between worlds. A being creatures of the underworld would do anything to get their hands on.

The lines between life and death are blurring, and Anaya and Cash find themselves falling helplessly over the edge. Trapped in a world where the living don’t belong, can Cash make it out alive?"

My Thoughts:

Last year I read Inbetween and fell in love with its sweetness and while I loved Finn, I absolutely adored Cash. So you can imagine my excitement when I found out Cash would be getting his own story. Not only did I want to see more of the world Tara Fuller created in Inbetween, but I also wanted to see where Cash’s story would lead. I have to say, Blurred was much darker than Inbetween and I was not at all disappointed by it.

I loved Cash in Inbetween, but I am now head over heels in love obsessed with him. Simply, he makes me laugh and I love it when a guy can make me laugh. I loved getting inside his head and seeing from his perspective. His situation absolutely broke my heart. I don’t want to say much about it, because I don’t want to spoil anything, but I felt terrible for him. I wanted him to get his happily ever after in the worst way possible.

I also really loved Anaya and I loved getting to know her better. I also felt as if I related to her extremely well. Not the whole dead and reaping thing, but the following rules thing. Anaya follows rules to a tee and never strays. She does what she is told and I tend to be the same. It is tough for me to break a rule, just as it is for Anaya. Cash is the thing that is finally enough to make her question the rules she has always followed.

Not going to lie, I really loved seeing Finn, Em, and Easton again. I also loved that they played a major role in the story and didn’t fade into the background now that their story is over. So many times where you have a series that switches to focus on a different character, the original characters only make a cameo, but with Blurred Finn and Em were present throughout the story. Finn was even a pretty important person. Easton was also back again and he was still his cranky but great self. I seriously cannot wait for his story.

I think my favorite thing about this book (and the series really) is that nothing is easy. Everything good has to be worked for. There are no neat and pretty bows at the end, where everyone is happy with no consequences what so ever. Don’t get me wrong, there is a definite conclusion and I loved it, however there was sacrifice that came along with it, it wasn’t handed over easily. As far as a paranormal story goes, the story feels real.

All in all, Blurred was a fantastic read and one that fans of Inbetween are sure to love. Personally, I thought it was better, darker, but better. It is a great read for paranormal fans.

Character Interview With Anaya:

Hi Anaya, thanks for stopping by the blog today! It is great to have you here!
Thank you so much for having me Teresa! It’s a pleasure to be here.

If you had to describe yourself in two words what would they be and why?
I’d like to think I’m compassionate (but then again that’s easy in my line of work) and strong.

Now, if you had to describe Cash in two words, what would they be?
Ha! Now there’s a question. He’s not going to see this is he? Okay…funny and addictive. There are so many more, but you only said two. ;)

You have been around for some time now, and we all know it has not been a party, but which time period was your favorite to experience?
Honestly? The present. I may have been around for a thousand years, but until now it all felt empty. Of course that might have something to do with the company I keep now, lol.

If you could go back and do it all over again, is there anything you would do differently?
If you would have asked me this a few months ago I would have said everything, but now…no. I don’t think I would. It’s all led me to somewhere that really pretty wonderful.

You and Easton seem to have an interesting relationship; can you shed a little bit more light on Easton for us readers?
Haha! Ah…Easton. Yes, what we have is something different. Have you ever met someone you love and hate all at once? That would be Easton for me. He’s the brother I never had. He can drive me crazy, but I have so much love for him. I wish he could see what I see when I look at him. I’m not sure if he ever will.

Although your free time is limited, what is your favorite thing to do when you do have free time?
I like to sit on the beach and watch the sea. It makes me feel alive again.

Now, us girls love us a good swoon worthy fictional hero, I know I have numerous book boyfriends, so I'm curious, who is your favorite book boyfriend?
I’ve only managed to read a few in between reaps, but Kai from Sweet Evil is delicious to say the least.

Last question, what was it about Cash that tempted you to break all the rules?
I felt connected to him in a way I hadn’t felt to another person in over a thousand years. He makes me feel alive. That’s not an easy thing to give up when you’ve been dead for as long as I have.

Okay, time for some this or that:
Pink or purple? purple
Summer or winter? summer
Vanilla or chocolate? chocolate
Day or night? day
Easton or Finn (and you can't say Cash!)? Easton. Finn won’t be happy when he sees this, but after all Easton has done for me lately…I owe him everything.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! It was a pleasure to have you here!

About The Author:

Tara Fuller writes novels. Some about grim reapers. Some about witches. All of course are delightfully full of teen angst and kissing. Tara grew up in a one stop light town in Oklahoma where once upon a time she stayed up with a flash light reading RL Stine novels and only dreamed of becoming a writer. She has a slight obsession with music and a shameless addiction for zombie fiction, Mystery Science Theater, and black and white mochas. Tara no longer lives in a one stop light town. Now she lives with her family in a slightly larger town in North Carolina where they have at least three stoplights. Website | Blog | Twitter | Facebook | Goodreads
