"What does it mean when your school is voted the most dangerous in America? It's time to kick some hellion butt...

After not really surviving her junior year (does "undead" count as survival?), Kaylee Cavanaugh has vowed to take back her school from the hellions causing all the trouble. She's going to find a way to turn the incarnations of Avarice, Envy and Vanity against one another in order to protect her friends and finish this war, once and forever.

But then she meets Wrath and understands that she's closer to the edge than she's ever been. And when one more person close to her is taken, Kaylee realizes she can't save everyone she loves without risking everything she has...."

Nicole Speaks:
**spoilers for the previous books and slight spoilers for With All My Soul**
When I started reading the Soul Screamers series I never thought I'd fall so in love with every character and Kaylee's entire world, but I did. Once I started reading I just couldn't stop from the very first chapter of the very first book.

Now that the series has finally come to an end I'm not quite sure how I feel. I’m torn between being happy with the ending, and being heartbroken that it had to come to an end. I loved this book so much. Even though I was freaking out the entire time while I was reading it, I couldn't have been happier with the ending as I said goodbye to Tod, Kaylee, and the rest of the amazing characters, but I am just so upset that I had to say goodbye.

I wish this series would never end, but I know that all good things must come to an end. I would have hated if the series would have gone on for too long and ruined the world I have come to love. Every book was amazing in its own way and I would hate if the series would have been dragged on. In so many book series I have read there’s usually one book that doesn’t live up to my expectations because of how good the rest of the series is, but in this series that was not the case. Every book exceeded my expectations and shocked me every time.

What made me love these books as much as I do was Tod. I absolutely fell in love with Tod. He is great in every way. He is hysterical and cocky, but underneath that he is insanely sweet and caring. He would do anything for the people he loves. He gave up his life for his brother, and went through hell and back, literally, to save the love of his life Kaylee. Tod is by far my favorite character in the series, and maybe even my favorite character of all time.

Tod is by far is my favorite character in all of the books, but I loved Kaylee and all of her friends for so many different reasons. Kaylee is a true heroine and I love that she is willing to do anything, even give up her life, for the people she cares about. She puts everyone before herself. I also love Nash. I loved him when he was with Kaylee, even though I think Tod is better, but I couldn’t move past what Nash did to Kaylee earlier in the series. I was so happy that he grew up and was able to move past all of his issues. He became such a better person. I hated Sabine at first, but I grew to love her too. She is so honest and is only after what she loves, Nash. She even grows to care about Kaylee, but out of all of Kaylee’s friends my favorite is Emma. She was thrown into this absolutely crazy and dangerous life, yet she stuck by her best friend through it all. No matter what Kaylee put her through she never let it come between them. She is a truly loyal friend and I love her for that. All of these characters made the book as amazing and engaging as it was.

I knew as I began reading this book that at the end I was going to be upset that it was over. But, the book had such an amazing ending that I was happy how everything was left off and was able to end the series with no questions or complaints. I fell in love with this series and everyone in it and I may be upset that it’s over, but it was a perfect ending to a perfect story.

  1. I agree with you! It was a wonderful conclusion to the series but I'm so sad it's over and we'll never read more of Tod, Kaylee, Nash, Sabine, and the others :( They all evolve so much over time! I only spent a little more than a year with them but I miss them already :/ The ending was genius though ^^

Great review! And I, too, fall in love with everything that is Soul Screamers! The characters and the world are just amazing! Especially Tod!

I wish this series could go on forever, too! It's all very bitter sweet to see it end.

And, your right, prefect ending for the series:)

  3. Fantastic review, Nicole!! I love (and agree with) all the points you made. Tod. Oh, how I love Tod... but I couldn't tell how you felt about him. Hahaha! I kid! It was so hard to say goodbye to this one, but the ending was perfection. I'm so happy you loved it. Can't wait for more Nicole Speaks posts!

Thank you, wifey, for sharing your sister with us! You're right - she just might love Tod more than we do... maybe ;)
