Welcome to my stop on the blog tour for Touch of Death by Kelly Hashway. I had the pleasure to read an ARC of this lovely book and you can go check out my review here. For my stop today, I had the chance to interview Jodi and Alex.

Release Date: January 15, 2013 from Spencer Hill Press
Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes & Noble

"Jodi Marshall isn’t sure how she went from normal teenager to walking disaster. One minute she’s in her junior year of high school, spending time with her amazing boyfriend and her best friend. The next she’s being stalked by some guy no one seems to know. After the stranger, Alex, reveals himself, Jodi learns he’s not a normal teenager and neither is she. With a kiss that kills and a touch that brings the dead back to life, Jodi discovers she’s part of a branch of necromancers born under the 13th sign of the zodiac, Ophiuchus. A branch of necromancers that are descendents of Medusa. A branch of necromancers with poisoned blood writhing in their veins. Jodi’s deadly to the living and even more deadly to the deceased. She has to leave her old, normal life behind before she hurts the people she loves. As if that isn’t difficult enough, Jodi discovers she’s the chosen one who has to save the rest of her kind from perishing at the hands of Hades. If she can’t figure out how to control her power, history will repeat itself, and her race will become extinct."

My Interview With Jodi and Alex:

Today on the blog I have the wonderful Jodi and Alex with me. Thanks so much for taking the time to be here and I am very excited to have you both here today.
Jodi: We’re happy to be here.
Alex: Yeah, just make sure you keep your distance. We don’t want any accidents during the interview.

Ohh right... didn't really think of that... Oh well anyway,
I always like to start my interviews off with this question. If you had to describe each other in two words, what would they be and why?
Alex: Jodi’s hot and powerful.
Jodi: Great, now I’m blushing and can’t think. Um, Alex is strong and protective.
Alex: You forgot sexy.
Jodi: Okay, sexy and protective.
Alex: So, now I’m not strong?
Jodi: Next question, please!

Right! Moving on.
So…. Medusa. Everyone in the world pretty much thinks she is this evil gal with snakes coming out of her head, but could you enlighten us on what she is really like? Where do you guys think she got the bad rep?
Jodi: Since I’m the only one who can actually see Medusa, I can tell you she’s beautiful. Don’t tell Athena I said this, but Medusa didn’t deserve to be cursed. Athena tried to make her out to be a monster, and my guess is no one wanted to go against her since she’s a god.
Alex: I’m not surprised people think Medusa was evil. Most humans would probably think the rest of us Ophi are evil, too. They don’t get the whole raising the dead thing.

You both grew up in very different situations. How do you think they have shaped who you have become today? Would either of you had chosen a different way to grow up if you could?
Jodi: I don’t think growing up is easy for anyone, but I wouldn’t trade my time with my mom for anything. She made me the person I am today. I owe her a lot.
Alex: Victoria and Troy made me strong. I’ll give them that.

Alex, this one is for you. Why were you such a creeper when you were first sent to check out Jodi? You know, with the whole staring her down thing?
Alex: Every time I tried to get near her, Matt got in my way. It was annoying. And you know, hot girl won’t talk to you—it’s not great for the ego.

Jodi, I’m not complaining because I have a soft spot for Alex, but most girls would have simply thought he was a stalker and never given him the time of day. What made you open up and trust him?
Jodi: There was something about him right from the start. I think my Gorgon blood recognized his. As much as he freaked me out with his stalker ways, I wanted to be near him. And have you seen his eyes?

Best and worst parts of being a necromancer?
Alex: Raising the dead is the best part. We’re wicked powerful. Having Hades breathing down our necks sucks, though.
Jodi: Don’t get me started on zombie servants, Alex. Hades and not being able to see my mom are the worst parts. Oh, and I can’t forget killing innocent people with my poisonous blood. That’s… well, there isn’t a word for it. The best part is knowing that I can save people.

The next question is a spoilery one- so fair warning to all of you yet to read Touch of Death. What is it about each other that drew you guys together do you think?
Alex: Have I mentioned she’s hot?
Jodi: Alex has this way of looking at me. I can’t even explain it. But those gorgeous green eyes get me every time. Plus, I think right from the start, part of me knew he was trying to help me. He always has my back.
Alex: Okay, seriously, she’s got all this power and not once has she acted like she’s superior. She has no idea how amazing she really is.
Jodi: That right there. That’s why I’m with him.

Fun Randomness:

Alex: Spicy

Thank you so much Jodi and Alex for taking the time to be here today. I know things are a bit busy for you two right now so I truly appreciate it! Stay sexy guys!
