Best Books I've Read In 2012

Hey there! Welcome to the kick off for the Top 10 of 2012. This is a week long event to spotlight some of our favorites from 2012. Each day will be a different topic and I hope you stop by and check out my choices. Today's post is for the best books I've read in 2012. This was an incredibly hard list to make up. I tried not to repeat an author more than once. This list isn't in any order, just however I grabbed the pictures.

On Dublin Street by: Samantha Young - This book was added to the list with no hesitation what-so-ever. This is really the best book I read in 2012. I just loved everything about this book and I cannot wait to find the time to read it all over again. I loved Jocelyn and Braden is just nom nom nom.

Onyx/ Opal by: Jennifer L. Armentrout - Okay, we all know how much I love JLA's books. Like, I literally love them all. But if I added all of her books to the Top 10, then it would mostly be made up of just her books, so I had to decide. I narrowed it down to Onyx and Opal, but I could not choose between the two, so I am lumping them together. I love this series and both of these books were wonderful for their own reasons.

Easy by: Tammara Webber - I absolutely adored everything about this book. I could not put it down while I was reading. This was the book that really made me fall in love with the New Adult genre. I loved the whole premise and I loved the way the story unraveled. It was just an emotional but wonderful book.

Before I Wake by: Rachel Vincent - It is no secret that I love the Soul Screamers series and Before I Wake is my favorite of that series. Tod is a lovely character and this book just amplified all that was wonderful about Tod.

Finale by: Becca Fitzpatrick - This book simply had to make the list. I love this series and I love Patch. I was so sad to see the series come to an end, but at the same time I was so happy to get closure. The book broke my heart but it also made me smile.

Down To You by: M. Leighton - Cash Davenport... I don't think I need to say more, but I am going to. Loved this book from beginning to end. Miss Leighton really outdid herself with this one. I loved all the steamy moments and I loved all the really sweet ones too!

City of Lost Souls by: Cassandra Clare - There is no way I could leave this book off the list. This was one of the very first series that made me fall in love with paranormal YA. I don't know what it is, but I am connected to these characters at this point. I feel as if I know them, and I just know the conclusion to this series is probably going to kill me.

Greta and the Goblin King by: Chloe Jacobs - This book blew me away! I knew I was going to like it, but I never expected to love it as much as I did. I love the world Chloe created and I loved taking the journey with Greta!

Lust For Life by: Jeri Smith-Ready - It is no secret that I love pretty much anything by this author, but I had to choose one book. I picked this one because I just loved how it wrapped up and because it completely surprised me.

Something Strange and Deadly by: Susan Dennard - This was the book that began my zombie obsession so of course it makes the list. I absolutely loved the combination of steampunk and zombies; it just meshed perfectly.

Because it was so difficult to pick just ten books, I have some books that I want to give honorable mentions to. I went back and forth over and over and in the end these books just missed the cut.
Shadows in the Silence by: Courtney Allison Moulton - I didn't include this in the list because technically it doesn't come out until 2013, but I read it and well I loved it.
Splintered by: A.G. Howard - This is another one that doesn't come out until 2013 so I didn't want to put it on a 2012 list, but I absolutely fell head over heels in love with this story! Read it ASAP.
Bloodspell by: Amalie Howard - This book really surprised me in that I never expected to enjoy it as much as I did. It was such a great forbidden romance.

Phew!!! That was rough. What were some of your favorites?

This is an award free blog. I truly appreciate the thought but I simply do not have the time. Comments are an award all on their own =]
