Hi there, I bet you are here to see what book I decided to spotlight for the Stuck In A Good Book Giveaway Hop. Well let me tell you, this was an incredibly difficult decision for me. I just love so many books and I wanted to spotlight them all and show all of them how much I love them. However, I had to choose one book and I finally decided on Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard. My most recent obsession has been zombies and this book delivered in that department. This book was addictive! From beginning to end, I just could not stop reading it. This book is fairly new and I wanted to spread the word about it and enable at least one more person to read the fabulousness that is Something Strange and Deadly. Even if you don't win, you should definitely add this book to your TBR because it is absolutely positively worth your time!
Still not sure if this book is for you? Well click here and check out my glowing review.
Still not sure, well then just take a look at that pretty cover!

I'm debating whether or not I want to read this book because it has zombies in it, and I HATE zombies. But they don't seem horrible...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
I am soooo excited for this book! I have heard amazing things about it, so I am looking forward to it. And this would be my first zombie book! Unfortunately I am a zombie virgin! LOL ;p
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! :)
~ Maida @ Literary Love Affair
This was my first zombie book and is what kicked off my recent obsession!
DeleteI love the cover and it would be a new subject matter! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love zombies, I love steampunk, and I love historical settings. This is like my perfect book! I can't wait for the sequel!
ReplyDeleteI would love to read this book because I'm such a sucker for zombies, and anything that changes up the typical zombie genre is even better!
ReplyDeleteI recommend The Mayfair Moon by JA Redmerski and Covet by Melissa Darnell. :)
ReplyDeleteThe first time I saw the cover I had to stop and check out this book~ and then I read the back and knew it was going on my TBR pile! I've never been a huge zombie fan but recently I've been falling for them more since my household is full of fans from zombie anime to the Walking Dead graphic novels/show. Seems like it's time to give a book that catches my interest a try! I love historical settings and journeys to find a loved one. Thank you for the chance to win. :)
ReplyDeleteI've already read this book and it's utterly AMAZING and one of my ultimate favorites of 2012. I borrowed it from the library though when I read it and I would LOVE nothing more than to own it and also get my sister to read it. :)
ReplyDeleteShauna @thesisterstale
I have heard some great reviews about this book and can't wait to read it! It looks very good and I love the cover! Thank you for the chance to win!
ReplyDelete1876? A period piece? I LOVE IT!! Besides zombies rule!!!
ReplyDeleteThe cover is stunning:)
Because I have heard so many great things about this book! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteI love the premise of the book! Zombies sounds totally awesome. I'd recommend Easy by Tammara Webber :)
ReplyDeleteLacey T
This book sounds interesting. It's historical, which I love, but I've never read a book about zombies. I would recommend A Spy in the House by Y.S. Lee.
ReplyDeleteI want to read it because its about zombies and I love a good zombie related book and plus the cover is just gorgeous! :D
ReplyDeleteIt sounds really interesting and I've read so many awesome reviews. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI love ya and paranormal.
ReplyDeletemagic5905 at embarqmail dot com
Because I love paranormals set in historic periods.
ReplyDeleteI love all things zombie. I am going to add this one to my very long TBR list.
ReplyDeleteHiya!
ReplyDeleteI've heard really good things about this book, I'd love to read it. :) I just read 'The Raven Boys' by Maggie Stiefvater and really liked it :) If you like Indie, I have a new book out called 'Crux' :) Just if you're curious.
Thanks again for the giveaway. Totally hope I win :)
I definitely want to read this book and have been stalking it since it was first announced :) I have it in a huuuuge pile of books I got from the library but haven't gotten to yet - and I'd love to just have my own copy and return theirs so maybe someone else can get to read it!! :) If you like zombie books but haven't yet read Carrie Ryan's "The Forest of Hands and Teeth," I would recommend you do so. From what I understand of SSaD, FoHaT is a lot different in feeling, but I absolutely loved it. It's not one of the old-school zombie books that can sometimes be campy (which I also love, don't get me wrong), but more along the lines of SSaD. Without the steampunk and fancy clothes!
ReplyDeleteI have been dying to read this one, because, let's face it, zombies and steampunk go together like peanut butter and jelly. I can't wait! Also, I recommend Grave Mercy, if you haven't already read it. Thank you for the giveaway.
ReplyDelete:).
I always love zombies, and of course my interest in steampunk is rising. But to give you a recommendation of my own is if you like paranormal I love A.M. Hudson's Dark Secret series.
ReplyDeleteAHHH!!! *runs around*
ReplyDeleteYup, well, I wanna read it 'cause it seems pretty interesting!!
I have heard wonderful things about it..
ReplyDeleteHere is a book recommendation:
ReplyDeletePariah by Bob Fingerman is one of the BEST zombie stories I've read so far! Another good paranormal is The Hunt by Andrew Fukuda :)
Mary DeBorde M.A.D.
I'm a total zombie geek and I love that this is set in the time period that it is!
ReplyDeleteI would love to read this book because I love anything about zombies and this book appears to put a different approach to it all. I think it would be a very interesting read and a different kind of zombie story that I would very much like to enjoy. :)
ReplyDeleteI love zombie books and you don't see to many of them in YA lit!
ReplyDeleteIt just sounds so good!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the awesome giveaway!
cassandrahicks1989@yahoo.com
Something Strange and Deadly sounds AMAZING! I mean, what's better than a hot gentleman, zombies and steampunk?!?!
ReplyDeleteI love the cover! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'd recommend The Great Lenore by J.M. Tohline -- read it in one sitting and the book stuck in my brain for months or anything written by Michelle Sagara, especially her Chronicles of Elantra series (Book 8, Cast in Peril, just released Sept 18th) -- each book is almost 600 pages, and when I finish one of the books, I ALWAYS wish there was another couple of hundred pages!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the amazing giveaway!

You should read The Queen's Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner. It's a spectacular series.
ReplyDeleteI reccomend the Lux series or the Graceling series.
ReplyDeleteI want to win because I love a good zombie book. I just finished reading Rot & Ruin (currently reading the sequel Dust & Decay) and This Is Not a Test and I recommend them both. This Is Not a Test was such a haunting book but it was so good.
ReplyDeleteI want to read this because it sounds intriguing! Thanks!

I've already read it and loved it! I want a pretty copy for my shelves! I recommend The Raven Boys!
ReplyDeleteI want to read this book, because I like zombies and I like steampunk! Thanks for the giveaway! If you like steampunk, I definitely recommend the Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carriger. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love the cover and love the subject matter!
ReplyDeleteI just love to read. So I like to give any book I come across a chance. However, this book also appeals to me because I love all things zombie! And while I've only read one book from the Steampunk genre, I really enjoyed it, and would like to read more. Oddly enough it too also included zombies. So, I recommend reading Dearly, Departed by Lia Habel if you haven't already. I think you'd enjoy it if you've enjoyed Something Strange and Deadly. (Nikki Marie on rafflecopter)
ReplyDeleteI've heard good things about it.
ReplyDeleteBlue by Lou Aronica
