"She had seen the unspeakable.

She would learn the unknowable.

Now, she would fight the invincible.

In the third and final installment of the Providence series, Nina Grey will marry the wrong man, carry the child that was never supposed to be born, and fight a war she can't win.

Faced with the impossible task of protecting his new wife and unborn child against the throes of Hell, Jared Ryel is allowed no mistakes. Pressured to return the Naissance de Demoniac to Jerusalem, he revisits St. Ann's to learn the answers were in front of him all along.

Together, they must survive long enough to let their child save them - and the world."

My Thoughts:

What can I say about this series that will not sounds like I am overdoing it? It simply was a great series that was the perfect balance of romance and action. The characters are great, the plot is great, everything about it is just great. I know I sound redundant, but I am just being honest.

Nina really grows up in this novel. She goes from being a scared college student to a strong and fierce mother. She is no longer helpless, but she does have one instance of stupidity (I'll get to this later). Jared continues to be my favorite. I'm pretty sure he can do no wrong in my eyes. I always love strong male leads that are fiercely protective, but also incredibly sweet. I dare you not to love Jared, especially after this book.

Claire and Bex continue to make me laugh. I love their sense of humor, even in the most ridiculous of times. I love how both of them are always ready for a fight, and it never seems to bother them. Ryan still gets on my nerves, but not as much as he once did. Kim really annoyed me in this book, but then again I never really liked her much. This great blend of characters makes for a great read.

Now back to the part about Nina being incredibly stupid. I don't want to give too much away, and I know she was pregnant, but still I wanted to knock some sense into her. There comes a point where Nina is being very irrational and refuses to stop and think and use the intelligence we all know she has. It was very frustrating and I felt it was a bit out of character. All along she had tried to keep her head and deal with all the weirdness, but then all of a sudden she couldn't deal and it nearly gets them all killed. I know it's trivial, but this ones thing bothered me. If you read the book, you probably know what I'm referring to. While it did bother me, it did not take away from my overall enjoyment of the book.

All in all this was a really enjoyable series. It wasn't the typical pararomance series. The twists and turns were different and it keeps you guessing. I was glad to have closure for Jared and Nina, but I am going to miss them.

  1. I really, really need to sit down and read Eden. I loved Jamie McGuire's other two books, so I know this one is going to be good, too!

  2. I've never heard of this series! Have you read Beautiful Disaster? It's the only book I've read of hers, and I'm kind of curious about her other books now. Might add it to my Goodreads. :)

    1. I haven't read Beautiful Disaster yet, but I plan to read it soon! This series is so good, it is hard not to love it.YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH JARED =]

  3. I wanted to read this badly, I still do, but somehow I always buy something else. Huh I hope to read it soon! :)

    1. I loved this series, surprisingly I read it before I even knew about Beautiful Disaster. Jamie McGuire is just so good.

  4. I've never read anything by this author before but I know that a lot of people love her books. I love the cover, it's simple but very eerie. I look forward to reading it. :)

I love getting comments and appreciate every single one of them! It always brightens my day =]

This is an award free blog. I truly appreciate the thought but I simply do not have the time. Comments are an award all on their own =]
